Man! Fellas! I really enjoy your genuine excitement, especially the way yall are truly happy for each other for a discovery!
And for the number of dump truck loads of dirt that Big Mike has moved, One Shovel Slice at a time over the last several years, he is DUE a day like this!!
Lol, "The One Scoop Wonder" show! Awesome stuff guys. Thanks for sharing for all of us to enjoy and learn from.

Jason Walls sorry to disagree with you Jason but when you are with good friends and having a great time it doesn’t matter what you are finding. You may have better finds and better days but for many that would be the hunt of a lifetime.

It's not about the value of the relic Jason. If that's what you are basing your experience on then you are missing the point. Matt is right. When you are with friends and you find something that is special to you then you get excited. At least we do. These are great artifacts to us. Some folks don't have access to the killer stuff you find. So we will continue to get excited.

So,, based on the amount of flakes, broken points, and tools, that y'all found, I'm guessing this to be a well used campsite/village. If that's correct, you should have a nearby "hotspot" where they hunted,,, probably a watering hole,,,, within a mile!

    • @HeartbreakerRelics

Thanks for the question. We should have done a better job explaining it. This is a "local" point. It is only found in a small area which in itself makes it rare. On top of that, in all our combined years of artifact hunting we have never found one whole. There a three points that we call "parish" points because they are named after three parishes in our area. They are the St. Tammany point, the St. Helena point and this point, the Tangipahoa. This is also the parish we were hunting in on this day. We have found several St. Tammany points and even fewer St. Helenas. As I said this is our first whole Tangipahoa. I guess you could say it has been our white whale.

Why. There's no need to lie about it and its insulting for someone to even suggest that!
