the price of the 2016’s with the clutch pedal and shifter will skyrocket in the used market. they ruined the whole reason why the yamaha was so unique.
Mine does fine on hills. Stock 16-18's, don't want to start from a dead stop/crawl on a steep incline or the clutch might get smoked. Upgrade the flywheel or different trans gears and it'll crawl fine.
The manual version was like a dream come true.. It had all the stuff i want for off-roading.. A reall race machine..Modern racing sports with paddle shift suck...i hate automatic atvs the semi auto sealed transmissions where vastly superior

why the machine does not give protection? while the designation of the motor for heavy field so very hirisk to hit by stone or other hard material.
it came with a 5 speed not a 6 speed. Unless I'm missing a gear lol
They call is a six-speed including reverse, but you're correct that it's really only five gears for all intents and purposes.

They actually get rid of what made that model so exiting the "Clutch Pedal and the Shifter". They got rid of the fun stuff yeayy No fun.

Doesn't it get annoying shifting all the time rather than just use paddles?
They still make the 3rd pedal clutch. I have the paddle shifters and it's a true sport utv and shifts much faster than the 3rd pedal.
ON the YAMAHA's...they needed a HIGH/LOW gearbox and STRONGER clutch..
& better center of gravity

i'd buy this, but it looks so ugly >.< love the semi automatic trans.. that's the main thing i'd buy this besides the design.
