Hotel California! I never thought I would be able to learn it. I finally figured it out. My takeaway was this:. Believing it was too advanced was the only thing standing in my way. It's long as hell, so I had to break it up into sections. I now have my sights set on Eruption. Short, but about 10x faster. Mierda!

Ah the old bend and release/pre bend release one the coolest things you can do especially when you wringing the most out of the least notes . I’m sure people done it before Slash but Slash is who I think of doing it and abusing it and me loving it every time . Kids once you get comfortable bending up to pitch mess around with the pre bend and release. It’s a little sneaky in the start of this solo because it doesn’t jump out it’s a cool cool cool trick!

Thank you so much for this. It says in the Good Book that some are given the Gift to Teach. Thanks for sharing your gift, my friend!!! I was so intimidated that I slowed you down to 50% speed...then 75%...then FULL SPEED!!! It only took me about an hour to learn what I couldn't play.

It was originally done by Otis Redding. I don’t know how old you are, but Otis’ big hits included Sitting At The Dock of The Bay, Can’t Turn You Loose and Try A Little Tenderness. He died on December 10, 1967 at the age of 26 in a plane crash on his way to Madison, Wisconsin after playing in Cleveland at Leo’s Casino and after filming an episode on The Upbeat Show (it was Cleveland’s take of an American Bandstand type show).

I can just about pull it off. Now... That's in my house... Playing it in front of thousands of people is another thing entirely.

I've always wanted to learn an ACCURATE guitar version of the keyboard solo (since good keyboard players are tough to find anyway).
