One of the best things I've done regarding entertainment in the last few years has been to boycott television.
I save money, don't end up funding a corrupt and noncey organisation and I get some better suited to my tastes TH-cam videos as a substitute.
So cool to see two grown men so excited over how awesome this car turned out. How incredibly fortunate to have access to a world class restorer like Ian.
It's the childlike excitement that gets me every time. Harry is a true enthusiast and couldn't hide it even if he tried. This channel is consistently one of the very best for car nuts on all of TH-cam.

I love that Iain Tyrell is laughing uncomfortably when Harry tells him its been making that noise and getting worse for 12 years. The unspoken message "you absolute wally"
It sounded like a con-rod bearing had gone - I wouldn't have dared to drive it in that state for fear of blowing it up!

Whatever it cost Harry as the owner, he clearly thinks it was worth it. The joy on Iain’s face in relation to seeing such a happy customer also pays tribute to his focus on customer service.

The compare & contrast of the two road tests was very amusing, Iain had stopped gritting his teeth in the second! Wonderful Sunday evening viewing gents!

As trite as this sounds, I am genuinely curious what it cost to get this piece of history to that level. The amount of expertise, hands on engineering, and craftsmanship that went into this is astounding, and would be, to me at least, priceless.

@@xa1a I'm pretty sure Harry will tell all of us soon as he has been very transparent with his projects in the past. Very curious indeed but as a curator of automotive history Harry probably sees the future for the car and not himself more important.
@@nielsie86 Which I totally understand, hence my introduction. I am the same with vintage synthesizers, as some of them are now in the 100s of thousands of dollars. We are not owners, merely curators. Same with my old motorbikes! It just would be some interesting insight into what it costs to bring a Countach back! You know, in case I ever find one in a field! ;)

Iain is the human equivalent to attaching a diagnosing reader to an ECU. Except there are no beeps and lights, he's literally feeling the pain of the car himself.

The ultimate poster car from when I was a small boy and got to watch things such as the Cannonball run. It was so great to see Harry dissolve into a teenager when driving his car after the restoration. one of the best sounding cars there is. Great stuff Harry thanks for sharing

Harry, please consider changing out the transmission oil in about 1,000 km. All new gears need to bed in and whatever debris is released should be removed by changing out the gearbox oil.

If you own classic cars or bikes, there's always something to be done. Iain Tyrrell is a busy man for that reason.
Fifteen minutes in. Or thereabouts. You can see from Harry's eyes quite how pleased he is. Iain is a genius. The car is a dream. What more to ask for?

Over a year restoration: I’ve seen other TH-camrs, so called influencers, buying three of their childhood absolute dreamcars, wrapping them and selling on again …. This is why I love your work, passion, knowledge en enthusiasm. Keep this good stuff coming !!

Congratulations Harry and Ian in getting the Countach to such fine level.
Now that was thrilling! The Countach was the first supercar I personally encountered. Back in 1982, as a 16 year old, I had just finished my afternoon shift at McDonald's; walking out the back door I practically bumped right into a black Countach. To say I stopped dead in my tracks is an understatement. If only I had had my Kodak Instamatic in my car. Good memories!

@@MrDead1975Totally agree. My father had a company along with another guy. Dad had a Mk1 Cortina estate … for lugging things around. His partner bought an E-type Jaguar and I will NEVER forget the sight and sound of that coming up our driveway. Forever imprinted in my memory. What a joyous video this is.

During that first drive back in February '22, it was neat to see how accurately Iain diagnosed the engine noise..
I've said it before and I'll say it again, the gorgeousness of Harry's Lambo' colour scheme is the reason why my (Rosso Corsa'ish) ride on mower now has gold wheels.
I'm so grateful Harry does this for us - living my automotive daydreams vicariously through his channel. Can't wait for the Countach's next road trip!

That’s gotta feel special though, as he said, vast majority are “rough” around the edges at very least… In listening to great detail, yours (aside from the door seal) sounds BETTER than new!!! I really like watching Iain and Harry chatting and joking around. The ear to ear smile on Harry's face when he takes the Countach out, just wonderful. Even though it's about Harry's Countach, thanks for stopping by the yellow and blue ones, various blues are one of my favorite colors on Lambos. Nice 360 Spider by the garage entrance, and you could peek a SE30 in Iain's garage as well. What a collection of cars to be working on. I hope the Espada gets sorted out. Extremely blessed to own a piece of art such as this!! I was the teenager growing up in the 80’s that had numerous Countach posters on my wall, so they were my closest I’ve come to owning a Countach for myself
I was born in 1966 and also grew up with posters and models all over my bedroom as a kid. When I was 14 one of my fathers friends bought a new Countach, and when I asked him what it was like, he said the sound of the engine and the speed were incredible, otherwise it was a rolling nightmare. It left him stranded 18 times in 6 months, and this was with “expert” care at a well known Lamborghini specialist in Connecticut (the dealer was even worse for service). The final straw was when the engine went up in flames when he was driving on the highway at 80 mph. He got out of the car fine, but it was burned beyond repair.

just amazing, I'll be 68yrs old this year, these are the 2 Lambos I grew up, reading about in magazines and I'll probably never own one but this the next best thing.
