The Georgia dome was my favorite place to see some sports magic. The 1993 Peach Bowl. I was a student at the University of Kentucky playing the Clemson Tigers. I have been on the floor a couple of times. SEC Tournaments. NCAA Regional Games, Falcons games. The Georgia Dome will be missed. I was in Atlanta when they were building the Phillips Arena. I remember when the Omni and Fulton County Stadium were imploded in August of 1997. I saw some great games in both buildings.
The Hacienda Hotel implosion in Las Vegas was like what happened to the Georgia Dome. Great implosion - but one of the hotel's towers stood after the implosion!
Wow . . . lol, talk about a lame attempt at downplaying the last wall standing subject. The fact that this guy is saying, "this is pretty normal . . . to have a percentage still standing" is nothing shy of making themselves look even more ridiculous. Incredible amount of stupidity. That is so not true! Yes it happens, but certainly not expected much less . . . . 'normal'. . . . .lol
This company are the ones that screwed up the silverdome. That's seriously funny
king0cans I noticed that too😂😂
king0cans I knew somebody F'd up.
Geez

Darren Linville :( I'm sad it was my last day on Georgia dome
In 20 years we'll be watching the implosion of the Mercedes Benz Dome. Such a shame they build these structures, then destroy them within seconds.
Yep and I helped build it 😢
Wasnt even that old. 1992 I beleive. What a waste.
The new one almost looks like the Georgia dome on the field.
Exactly. There are thousands of cities in the world that would have given anything and everything to have a stadium like the Georgia Dome.
SkylineToTheSeaAndMe Im glad I live near Green Bay, we will never tear down the historic Lambeau Field.
SkylineToTheSeaAndMe the Raiders
I was born Atlanta in 1992!!!
Just like Fulton County Stadium 25 years ago.
What a waist of money. The Stadium was not that old
Yes it was old 🤦♂️
it was falling apart. literally the roof fell in during a game and they moved to another stadium.
*waste
1992-2017. It was time. Roof leaks and all.
One last Ovation before setting another charge of TNT. Should be Thrilling.
This the same company who did the Pontiac silver dome? Lol
Blackshirt- D yes it was lol

Wrestlemania 27 was the worst PPV ever ! Thank you for getting rid of The Miz history
The reason is because that the fire charges that they set did not fire correctly
Is it cleaned up. It’s February 18th
the rest of the wall gonna be brought down on Dec 20 2017 @ 1am
That’s how much debt was outstanding prior to demolition.
I guess that's better than the job they did on the Pontiac silverdome
Blank got his Super bowl event in Atlanta he wanted and Tom Brady got a new ring. Worth it?

Georgia Dome got imploded !
It wasn't that old they should have left it standing and make a museum out it
The Omni did the same thing a price diddnt want to come down
*NO BUS, GO AWAY*
I went here an watched supercross
It wasn't even that old enough why will you destroy a 50lb Stadium in the worst time
The roof was gone and in 12 seconds the Georgia Dome became destroyed forever don't know the new stadium look like ?
12 seconds it doesn't look like this it destroyed
Down goes to do!
The stadium was only 27 years old but didn't you ruined the whole stadium it wasn't even old enough it was supposed to be at 100 not 27
I was there
Sergio
A lesson learned for waisting money
*wasting
Wrestlemania 27 the worst Ppv ever
simon marshall I agree I was one of the poor souls that had the misfortune of witnessing that disaster in person
