I feel like I was watching Andy fight Masato, Buakaw, Zambidis et al about 15 years ago. But man, he was totally outclassed here, amazing work by Yodsanklai.
Outclassed? Nah hes just old, a prime andy would give yod a trouble.

@@lowriderskin Andy knows this because he's been in Brazil for many years before this fight coaching kickboxing and training MMA and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at Nova Uniao. His focus was not on kickboxing for many years. Notice his takedown of Yodsanklai was. pretty nice?
Great fighters and nice guys both of them. Met both in person in Pattaya many years ago. Yodsinklai is very modest guy not arrogant like Buakaw is and his style is awesome and Andy made us Dutch feel proud for many years. Both are almost 40 yrs old now
Both are legends. Andy is the only fighter who won buakaw twice when buakaw was at his prime. Now age is getting to his. But Andy is still good.

Souwer struggled with yods south paw stance.. a legend in his time but that last knock down was enough. It was just going to get worse for him.

I heard a great podcast where Liam Harrison and Andy were having a talk about getting older and retiring. I think the hardest thing is realizing when you get knocked down or KO much easier - and starts to happen more frequently. At this stage, Andy didn't need to be fighting Yodsanklai . It's touchy because you want to go out on your winning legacy, but that's your occupation. Fight or train fighters
This was one way traffic from the start. But to be fair Andy Souwer is over the hill at this stage of his career.
Way over the hill, look at his lack of conditioning! K1 Max champ era Souwer would have been more interesting, still think Yod would win IMHO..

The count was right, just watch the time. As a combat fighter myself, I don't wait til the referee starts counting. If Im able, I get up to my feet as fast I can.

not anymore they had a good fight years ago. hes also 37 and a couple years older than yod. and on a losing streak. sadly these vets will just keep turning up when the money bag gets thrown at them. that being said. yod is a monster. and much improved his pure kickboxing over the years.

that's how all gyms in thailand are. you take the name of the gym as your last name. like saenchai pksaenchaimuaythaigym, superbon banchamek, etc
