Hans Zimmer rarely writes music that is so perfectly synchronized to picture as this. I wish he did it more often. The way the themes flow in and out of one another to reflect the action without ever losing the focus or drive of the piece is magnificent. Excellent performance!
Yes right? When watching the movie you don’t even realize that precision in the composition, but with the synchronized picture and score, the genius of Zimmer is even more visible What a performance
Honestly, it's daily practice in that range. If I don't play there regularly, I lose it. Actually, if I'm on a symphony gig on 4th horn I can't play those notes very well
Some people can do this. Listen to this example of the Horn players from the London Phil... Their Titanic Suite went way up into the stratosphere as well. th-cam.com/video/XDJqMsd77vA/w-d-xo.html
@@trevorjensen2706 I think Tico Tico tops out at a C and Titanic a D. Caravan has a G or an A and then Three Way Turn from their other CD has a screaming Bb. Both Marc and I have videos with sustained F#s, but I'll argue his is more impressive. Mine is blasted in Scherzo for X-Wings while his is gracefully played in Marion's Theme
The 'I don't think now is the best time' is the best filmic/music sequence in all of pirates! Certainly the centrepiece of the maelstrom sequence. I said in Maelstrom Pt 1 that the 'Pirates Life For Me' was the Climax of the trilogy (from a POtC ride/theme perspective), but this is the climax of the Will/Elizabeth arc for all three movies. The wedding they were never able to have in movie 2; and recovering after the relational struggles they've had through Dead Man's and World's End. Every scene has a 'climax' moment to it! Although I wonder what your next recorded sequence will be called? Or will you just cut ahead to 'just good business' and skip all the family affair stuff?
This is one of my favorite Zimmer compositions ever. The way the music sync to picture, with loads of different melodies from across the trilogy playing with each other, and how the music builds and builds until that beautiful and cathartic release at 4:04 it's just something else. I believe this is one of Hasn Zimmer's finest works, definetly my favorite of the Pirates saga, and I think you did it justice with your breathtaking performance. Great job!
My favorite piece from the pirates movies, I've been looking for this for forever!! Can't wait to play it, thanks for the great horn playing and sheet music!!
Dear god I love this cue! I think 75% of my (apparently) irrational love of this film comes from this scene and this score. I also think that if you're not the sort of person to take tremendous emotional satisfaction in knowing that Will is killed with the sword that he gives Norrington in the first film then maybe this film isn't for you. But it's totally for me. Thank you. This was terrific.
Trop bien 🤩🤩 ça donne envie de regarder la totale... en tt cas c cool je joue souvent en même temps pour m'entrainer à jouer sans entrainement pour tester mon niveau et s'amuser bien sûr...
Jeez you guys, you made me break out my flugelhorn!! Here's how I imagined this conversation went down.... Marc: "Hey Andrew, I've got a project I want to see if you'd care to work on with me. It's got a bunch of high E's." Andrew: "Sure." 😁
Hahaha, well...I have to say that the high E's were actually Andrew's idea !! They weren't in my original arrangement, he just felt like recording them and I'm glad he did 😀
Well we had the string line we were playing and our part just dropped an octave. I'm like, "why not keep it up"? And did one take up the octave as a half joke
Although I will say, there is a big missed opportunity to make this piece specifically a duet in two parts. The original score plays this dialogue between the Horns/brass in Will, and the strings in Elizabeth. I know you've adapted both parts for the horn in this arrangement, but since there were two of you, you could have played off as one against the other, and overall covered some more of the complex voices in the middle of the wedding sequence.
"The Wedding" is the cue's name but on the soundtrack it is called "I don't think now is the best time" 🙂 (It's a 10-min long piece and the Wedding appears at the end !)

What a performance
And this is why POTC has one of the best if not the best movie score in movie history
00:40-00:41 - How in the holy mother of crap is that possible? My hat is off to you for hitting those notes. Wow.

The same way you hear trumpets screeching into the stratosphere; (near) daily practice of going up that high and controlling it
unbelievable! this is amazing!!! keep it going with the pirates!!
oh wow I wasn't expecting you to keep that high E take! I should have sold it more in my video
Thanks again for your wonderful playing ! Love those high E's ❤️

Definitely the centerpiece ! Just brilliant scoring 🙂

Can you do the black pearl
Love your covers
Can you please do trumpet one as well!!!!!
By the way, in Japanese, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End is known as Pairētsu Obu Karibian/ Wārudo Endo パイレーツ・オブ・カリビアン/ワールド・エンド.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Amazing! (Any chance we could get Davy Jones theme? ʕ ᵔᴥᵔ ʔ)

No Trumpet…. 😢😭 still amazing though

High e's sound less strained than my high b's
Have you guys done Davy Jones theme or Heart of Davy Jones?
Can’t tell me that was not on purpose 0:24
The score overall is very syncronised with what's happening onscreen
What’s the name of the Horn you play on?
@@laurenzdanklmaier6975 Holton H179 🙂
Esta partitura como se podría conseguir?
Where can I get the sheet music?
In trying to find the song on Spotify, but can’t find it. The original, is that also “wedding”?
"The Wedding" is the cue's name but on the soundtrack it is called "I don't think now is the best time" 🙂 (It's a 10-min long piece and the Wedding appears at the end !)
I don't care for this movie but the music has always been good and you guys make it sound even better with your phenomenal playing
