The album artwork for this by Holly Warburton was awesome! She did all of the Danielle Dax releases of LPs and 12in artwork covers too. Hung up all of them in my freshman dorm room! Thanks for the memories!!
I love Toni's voice, everything she's done has been good to outstanding. Especially love Curve's Cuckoo album and her Chatelaine album "Take A Line For A Walk"...
Generic late 80s production aside, I still really enjoy this album and would love to see it remastered and re-released. You can hear the start of Curve in these songs.
This harem owner singer is one in one kind, love her. speaking from a fan installation. I'm a fan favorably been .since curve has started eye have been a tremendous fan.
As much as I love Curve, this is fairly awful. Weak tune, dreadful production, and it sounds about ten years dated even for its time. Plus, Toni Halliday was too gorgeous to be lumbered with that hair.
she was lucky she met her partner and founded, created Curve as let's be honest she is no a good singer...think the good production behind curve hid that well.No a bad song this would have suited Belinda Carlisle or a female with a bit power in their voice.
This pop album was pretty mediocre, even for the time, but Toni has a pretty good voice. I don't see why some people dog on her. In the pantheon of female vocalists of the time and related genres, she may not be Lisa Gerrard or Liz Fraser, but I would rank her just above Harriet Wheeler and just below Kristy Thrisk, about on par with Kate Bush.
amazing
i love toni halliday

My pleasure, and thanks for sharing this info and memory too, I imagine it was a very special time for you back then, it's very nice to know that 😊
This one and Time Turns Around are my fav singles from her solo debut album.

Amen
Her voice could have almost any sounds stuck behind it, would still like. Cuckoo was a life changing record, when we were young & drank gasoline.
A guilty please I love it too
It's Flood and Alan Moulder!
Doing sort of a French Kissing In The U.S.A. pastiche I think.

Original is a great song, love it too, she with blond hair is very different, but beautiful anyway *-*
❤
Ha! Toni!
lol she's the only artist i know from that time period who went from being a glitzy 80's pop singer to a 90's UK underground sleazy indie rocker.

@@KywokiYakasaki concordo.
she's that "a tab of lsd a day keeps the lack of creativity away" artsy type
I definitely liked it's rawness cuz it was 80's stuff you know what I mean.......
Haha! It's always good to see that totally cool people with an embarrassing past.
