Yeah buddy!! Awesome job my friend and killer find on that color. I have looked at it a couple times and just never added it to the cart…. DOH! 🤦♂️. Loved the 10-15-20 progression, that was very cool to see the color develop 💪💪. And that Rocket on a DS!… never would have thought! I bet it would mimic a little bait fish even more rigged sideways so you get that “back fin” profile just-a-flappin’ away! Killer from start to finish bud!
Thank You good sir!!! The color is still out there at some third party vendors. A quick google search and you should be able to find a bottle still. Yeah the 3.5" grub works decently well on a dropshot it seems. definitely requires more action to get the tails flapping, but I agree, rotated so the fins are vertical would definitely make for a great bait fish profile. I bet it would look good on the back of a swim jig.
Ohhh yeah chatter bait trailer would be nice!! Now we need Jason to make us a multi-port mold so we can inject it vertically! Thanks!!! Still have a long way to go to catch up to you!
I don't know about that, I have a long way to go and I'm a one trick pony at the moment. Need to add some variety to the channel. Hopefully I can catch some fish this weekend so I have some flavorful content to sprinkle in.
One thing about the drop shot. Depends on the cover you’re fishing it in will dictate the type of drop shot weight. If there’s a lot of rock on the bottom you’re gonna want to use a teardrop shape weight. If there’s a lot of grass then you’ll want a cylinder shape weight. The teardrop prevents the weight from getting stuck and hung up in the rocks. Where as a cylinder shape weight comes through the grass easier, it’ll drop straight through the cracks between the rocks and get stuck.
I’ve been waiting for this video perfect match. You should get over 1000 subs on this one alone. Thanks for showing the 50/50 mix I think that’s the way to go
Thank You! I'm glad you enjoyed it! Yes the 50/50 was interesting. I think I need to do a video just on the different plastisol blends alone. I would love to see how the floating does on it's own as well.
Love the up and coming channel man, I don’t have a TH-cam channel or anything but I’ve been also bitten by Chris Jones lol. I’d be happy to send some east cost (Maine) baits for some West cost ideas!
@@sweetboysoutdoors I just did a quick google search and you can find it from some 3rd party vendors. There are still bottles floating around out there.
No it's not terribly expensive. You can get in for about $500 in gear. Chris Jones has a lot of great getting started videos and "What To Buy" videos on his channel, @worldsworstfishing
Add some M-F marinara blue to it give a holographic effect to it. In the light goes from pink-violet to a blue-violet with blue flakes!! I sell a lot of these!!
Yes I'm familiar with it, that has a Brown / Pink changeable effect. Adam from @SDGCustomLurecraft has a video covering it over on his channel. Here is the link: th-cam.com/video/n0pH0jUKl2E/w-d-xo.html The Chameleon color starts at the 11:35 minute mark in the video.
I agree, none of the colorant companies do a very good job of showing off their own product. Quite a shame actually because it could drive so many more sales.
@@brandonfennimore9180 All good. Jeff did a batch of 100 bottles after the video went up and it sold out in under a week LOL The video really put a run on that color LOL. It's ok, Jeff has lots of new stuff coming which I'm excited about!!
Weird, he had just stocked up on a bunch of it about 6 months back. I’ll try and check with Jeff. Did you use the recipe in the video? I know if you add too much it goes straight purple. You gotta stay around 20 drops per cup to keep the pink shift in there.
Yep I actually set two metal mixing balls in it and use a bottle mixer similar to what they use in labs to shake blood and stuff together. Works wonders on these bottles of colorant.
I think there's more to it than them just not being able to get the colors I mean they're out of all their colors are you telling me all their colors are hard to get or have they just lost touch with their customers and don't care apparently they have too much money and don't need to work or sell any that's what I'm really starting to think
Well if you're looking for colors right now, MF is almost sold out of everything. They are shutting down as a company. Jeff is retiring soon so there is limited availability of product left.
@@baitchuckin things don’t add up. A few weeks ago his wife posted in a Facebook group that they were waiting on things for their new shop and then they could start pushing out orders. Now you’re saying Jeff is retiring.
@@jasonjohnson3436 Don't kill the messenger. I don't have facebook so I don't know what is being posted over there. I've only put out what Jeff as personally asked me to put out.
@@baitchuckin I’m just saying this whole situation has been weird. They have been “moving” over a year, living in their shop to make it easier, issues with said shop, and now he is “retiring”. If they were just trying to sell out of stuff so they could close the doors it would have been a lot nicer to hear it straight out instead of the excuses
Congratulations on 1K As much as I liked this video, it is pointless and useless. You used a hard to get or out of production pigment, like I said, it’s does no one any good unless you have it (I do not) If I may suggest redoing this with something everyone can get today. I did love it. It’s a good match And it’s my number one color I use lure works Morning Dawn Cause it’s available. I talk strait and to the point so don’t take my comment as an attack on you but the absolute truth is that without that MF violet grape available, this tutorial is of no use.
No I didn't take it as an attack at all, I completely understand. Actually, if you do a google search, there are actually a lot of 3rd party vendors who still have Violet / Grape in stock. I know several folks who have been able to order it since the video went up. Don't give up!!!
Awesome! I'm glad to hear it! Yeah this one snuck up on me with the color not being available. I really did try and get my hands on more but alas it was already gone. That wasn't my intention. Glad you are enjoying the channel, there is a lot more content on the way and I plan on doing a lot of fishing as well, not just pure bait making. Cheers and Tight Lines!!
