@@aelahn Almost reminds me of Madness, a ska/new wave band from the 70s/80s. I'm a big fan and they often had this darker, minor sound to their tracks which sounds a lot like this. I can see how this sounds 'old' but production and mix sounds new and fresh.
I love this side of Gorillaz!! They’re really starting to dig at the lore again. I’m so excited about what the new phase will have in store! Incredible song!
@@SudsyCola It's Forever Cult. In the current Gorillaz lore there is a cult named The Forever Cult that is operating next door to where the band is currently living.
I've been bumpin' since Clint Eastwood ran on MTV. The best thing (of many, many great things) to me is that one day, one song that you've skipped or just thought meh.. will catch you at the right time, right mood, the perfect need and it fills your mind and body with a fix. 20+ years and it still happens.
This was me with "every planet we reach is dead" for the longest time. Then one day I just fell in love with it and its the #1 gorillaz song for me now.
I think part of it is that they tend to mix and integrate elements from different genres. No matter what you like it has something that will speak to you woven into the tapestry of the song.
I realized what I love about this song (Yes, two years later), and it's the flow of the song. The song has many stops in the main parts (like 1:10), but then it starts flowing like a river when it gets close to the chorus (1:26). That combination being the main structure of the song is what makes it pleasant to listen for me. I don't know, I'm probably a weirdo listening to it this way, but it's the best I can describe it.
I just started getting into The Gorillaz music, and it’s insane how his music manages to stay incredibly fresh and never stagnant, yet always has the distinctive Gorillaz flare.
Doesn't matter if you've heard it already, just trust me on this one. One day, look up the whole Demon Days album, sit back and just listen to it in the song's intended order... enjoy the trip!
I've been a Gorillaz fan since the begin and I'm proud to say they've have never disappointed me. Everything from the beats, the lyrics, and even the artists they featuring everything is a masterpiece every time. Thank Gorillaz you guys are the best
I remember when I was a kid and my dad introduced me to Gorillaz through the song Clint Eastwood (and I instantly fell in love with it).. it's so crazy that you still make music and that it still sounds great! I feel (good inc😂) like Gorillaz isn't even a band anymore, it's an experience that almost everyone will have at some point in their lives! And that is awesome!
never thought that i’d be here, giggling like a 5 year old, in my bed, listening to song freshly dropped 9 hours ago made by a band I’ve only known for two years. gorillaz is magical.
Esto es completamente genial y grandioso, siempre es música buena con el toque de gorillaz, pero sin llegar a ser repetitivo, y la estética es genial, stan gorillaz
I don't know how to express this but this song is circular, it's so weird that it doesn't have a proper refrain and stuff, but it's so good, it feels like it could go on forever repeting its pattern and never get stale...
Better late than never. Doncamatic got me hooked instantly Rhinestone Eyes needs a couple re-listens like Stylo needed I feel like Aries is great, Melancholy Hill needs a somber bus ride to hit. I do also like Kids With Guns and Clint Eastwood a lot now too.
I wasn't sure how I was gonna feel about this song, but I love Thundercat so I decided to give it a try. I didn't think much of it until like 45 seconds in when the bass kicked in, then I was hooked! Gorillaz never miss. 👊
@@noxturne16 It's a nice, spacey, chill song. It's just a shame that the dude they made it with, Octavian, turned out to be such a massive absolute scum-guzzling piece of raw dookieshits.
Wtf, porqué esto es tan bueno- Definitivamente haber empezado a escuchar Gorillaz hace tiempo fué una de las mejores decisiones que tomé, siempre traen canciones tan buenas. AMO FUERTE. 💘
When I first heard this song, I thought Thundercat was saying “from Africa” instead of “forever cult” and 2D was saying “They taught themselves to be a cow” instead of “They taught themselves to a cult”.
You can tell it's a Gorillaz song because 2D is completely incomprehensible until you've listened to the song a couple times. I'm not the only one, right?
Okay, long post aheaaad!! I'd just like to thank Gorillaz... They're music is awesome, they're style is awesome, they drew the line between reality and animation in the music industry being an animated band. They're just different in every way possible. Speaking of animation, I'm glad the makers didn't somehow "perfect" their features. Truly, I'm glad. I've been so insecure of my looks and when I looked up to Gorillaz's members, I realized they have their own imperfections by looks too... I've been meaning to change something about me and my looks, but the only thing I needed to change was my perspective. Like the band members, I've got a strange nose shape that everyone in my family has been bullying me of, now I don't care about their insults! Also like the band members, my teeth's all messed up... Seeing their teeth, I realized it's really okay to not have perfect teeth but still keep up w/ hygiene ofc hehe. I once got caught up with Advil overdose and been keeping it cause ppl may think I've got a crack in my head, then 2D comes in saying he likes painkillers... It's a different thing yes, but quite the same concept ig? Haha Overall, Gorillaz is still one of the hottest bands around, the most precious one too! Different at best!
Gosto muito das músicas calmas, por isso plastic beach é meu álbum preferido, mas essa música é sem igual, amei, espero que esse novo álbum apresente músicas calmas também

I've been bumpin' since Clint Eastwood ran on MTV. The best thing (of many, many great things) to me is that one day, one song that you've skipped or just thought meh.. will catch you at the right time, right mood, the perfect need and it fills your mind and body with a fix. 20+ years and it still happens.
heh I remember those days
1st time I heard clint Eastwood and 19 2000 was on toonami still one of my best memories
That ability is a big part of Damon's genius
This was me with "every planet we reach is dead" for the longest time. Then one day I just fell in love with it and its the #1 gorillaz song for me now.

Why does literally every single Gorillaz song slap so hard? I'm lowkey obsessed with their music, it doesn't matter what genre it just always bangs
Ikr
Columbians slaps?
Ikr Seattle Yodel goes so hard
I think part of it is that they tend to mix and integrate elements from different genres. No matter what you like it has something that will speak to you woven into the tapestry of the song.
you clearly haven't heard every single song lol
I realized what I love about this song (Yes, two years later), and it's the flow of the song. The song has many stops in the main parts (like 1:10), but then it starts flowing like a river when it gets close to the chorus (1:26). That combination being the main structure of the song is what makes it pleasant to listen for me.
I don't know, I'm probably a weirdo listening to it this way, but it's the best I can describe it.
It amazes me how this band can still turn out incredible, fresh tunes time after time. And they’ve been going since 2001!! God bless Gorillaz!!
It helps when the musical vision is mostly realized by a single person. Especially when they're a genius like Damon Albarn 😉

's incredible
Haha
Overall, Gorillaz is still one of the hottest bands around, the most precious one too! Different at best!
This is so groovy! Exactly why Gorillaz is my favorite band, they're always so original!!

The now now acasalou com Humanz e nasceu essa belezura
