There are good and bad people in all cultures, many gay people have been wonderful in helping others for there cause whatever that may be... Gay people have been persecuted ,so much in life ,they do know what its like to be the under dogs. I salute them, and i feel very sorry thats society and religion have made people taunt and hunt homosexual for so long even today , it breaks my heart to see Uganda lighting gays afire. When are we going to help put an end to hatred?

They can't get over the sexual thing. He can't understand why he didn't try anything sexual "perhaps I was too young". As if, had he been older, he might have been molested. Can't accept that a gay person, like any other person, might just be good... because he is a good person.

I think he was just making sure the audience knew he was NOT a homosexual.

Yes, this too was my reaction. It is sad indeed that someone persecuted for his Jewish identity has to caricature someone by their sexual identity. He should know better than to caricature and stigmatise the person who saved his life.

Exactly and the way he kept saying a homosexual over and over. I've come to rescue you and I'm a homosexual. Smh

@@cmariah80 But we don't care. Heterosexual men go out of their way to make this known and no one cares.

This is what they were taught to believe, that gay men would be innately predatory. My father, born in 1938, used to think the same thing until a girlfriend of his in the late 50s told him her brother was "queer". He was already good friends with the brother (small Virginia town), played on the same baseball team, and admittedly never would have suspected. It was then that he realized stereotypes aren't a reflection of the entirety of our reality. Thankfully, dad was a good dude, and kept that secret.

He's a human being.... Being a homosexual does not make you a pervert... The ignorance... Be grateful to God that he was there to help you...

Such an old fool. It's too sad to listen. That guy "never attempted" because he was just a human, not "homosexual".

That man was a homosexual just not a pervert. He wanted to help that guy because he is also a human

    This has me divided.
Im jewish and gay and Im not quite sure but this gentleman is almost afraid that a homosexual saved him.
I watch thousands of these and still wish this man well.
Im sure his life was hard in the camps.

This man is my father. He meant no ill will by commenting that his savior was gay. My father died just a few months after this interview. He was riddled with brain, bone and lung cancer at the time of the interview but wanted his story of survival to be heard when the opportunity to tell it was offered. This is a small excerpt of a long ordeal.

Maybe that gay man saved Mr. Fox just because he wants to be kind and charitable toward people who were discriminate like him.

Perhaps he just did what he did, saved another human being's life, because he was a good a decent person. Perhaps his sexually had nothing to do with it. Just saying.
