I joined the no extension challenge in January and I wish I could show you how much my hair has changed since following your advice!! My hair has never been thicker, longer, or healthier than it is now ❤ The synthetic hair was causing excessive shedding and I’m so glad that I started making my own herbal-based products too. People stop me all the time to ask me what I use on my hair and they are shocked when I tell them I use herbs and natural products. If I hadn’t found your channel this year, I really don’t know where I would be. You helped save my natural hair. Thank you!! 🙏🏾😭

Thank you so much fairy fro mother, you have been of great blessing to my hair. The truth is , I have always been a natural hair do person, so it wasn't difficult for me to flow with the challenge at all. But, the amazing thing about it is that, it boosted my moral the more. I must confess that Wigs irritates me now, no matter how beautiful they appear. I carry my hair with pride no matter how I style it. So far, the hair is thriving. I have grown so much length and volume as well. Thank you so much. I love you.

The timing of this video is on point. My daughter had mini natural twists installed a little under 2 weeks ago, and we plan to leave them in for 6 weeks. We moisturised on Day 9, spritzing mid length to end with a Tea, layering a leave-in, then sealed with Butter mix and oiled her scalp. I'll touch test next weekend, whether feeling dry and ready to be remoisturised. ❤
My hair and scalp has never felt better since i stopped using hair extensions. My hair has grown longer and fuller and my hairline came back fuller too😊 i switch between mini braids and mini twists with my natural hair and that has kept my hair healthy🤷🏾♀️
Your right about mother earth providing herbs and teas for our hair and to drink too.Its working for me , so if it not broke, don't fix it.I don't care what they say about protected style, people need to listen to your and what works. If wearing weave works for you , than go for it,but protected styles is a personal choice when wearing natural protected styles that i find are best for me , and to each is own...keep teaching Chris, keep it coming !!!!!! 😊
There isn't anything really special about moisturizing during winter. It's your moisturising routine only you may have to increase the number of times you do it per week. If it's once a week normally, you can up it to twice a week and see. Wear head wraps sometimes to further protect the hair.
Good job mama 😊 So beautiful and endearing. Thank you for all you do and you and your family have beautiful hair. ❤ I have 2 girls (ages 5 and 2). I pray the Lord will strengthen me to be able to take care of my little girls’ hairs as well as you do so that when they are big girls, they will know what to do! May I ask a question? Do you ladies enjoy swimming? If so, how do you manage the hair while swimming? We all love water but I haven’t quite figured out a good plan in twists. It seems they might tangle badly if completely submerged in water, so I’m afraid. We have fine hair strands, but normal to high density (a lot of hair but fine individual strands). Most swimming caps just don’t really keep the hair from getting wet. Even if the middle is dry, the perimeter will still be wet. 🤦🏽♀️ God bless you!
Cornrows and single plaits will be better options if y'all swim a lot. That way tangles will be reduced. Also, rinse out the area that gets soaked, use a microfiber towel to reduce excess water, then moisturise and seal. Don't skip wash days so that then you can properly cleanse the scalp and hair.
Thanks for sharing so much insight on how to retain hair length. I am on the journey. My hair is responding well to the tea rinse. My hair have more body.... giving it more time to see if my new routine is retaining length as I can't say at this point. However, due to how much body my hair now has, I want to know how to generally soften the hair and maintain a soft texture. That's my concern. Can you tell me?
Do you do hot oil treatments if so when and do you do it before in a prepoo or after deep conditioner? And do you rinse after a hot oil treatment? I curious how you lock in the moisture. Do you use henna at all?

Unfortunately, twists aren't protective for me because if I leave my hair in twists more than a week, they start to lock. Two braids work best for me on a regular basis. :)
I feel you! Maybe try braiding the root if you want to give it another go. Ever since I have been using this method I don’t experience horrible root tangling and my ends stay pretty secure if I twirl them. Plus, the braids help the twists last longer.
@@amberkhashmal It's not the roots that are the issue. My twists will start to lock up and down the entire length if they are too small. I do enjoy wearing twists, but only every so often when traveling or special occasions when it feels worth it to put in the effort or a style I'm only going to wear a week. :)
@@BionAvastar3000 I understand. I mentioned the braided roots because I’ve noticed I don’t have the same issue I once had. It’s like the braids help hold the hair in place. Twists alone have a looseness to them (especially at the root) that can cause shifting that can lead to fusing/entangling. We are all different, and there are more than one methods that can help make our hair thrive, which is beautiful. 🌸
Try stretching the hair first, then install the twists. Were you twisting on wet hair? Bantu knot and stretch or stretch with 4 to 6 plaits. If you have a blow dryer, try stretching the hair using LOW or Cool temperature by using the tension method.
