  • Another in my series of remastered videos upgraded from the original 240p uploads done over DSL many years ago. This was just a segment of a marathon western trip I did in 1996, covering over 6,000 miles in just over 2 weeks. I rolled into Martin just in time to catch a train headed out to the mine, followed it to the loadout and waited til they flood loaded the train. Then back to Martin where the mid train helpers were added for the trip to Soldier Summit, where they were removed. Then down over the loops, through Thistle and into the verdant plains south of Salt Lake City. I was amazed at the number of eastbound SP trains I was able to catch passing the Utah. Enjoy!

Nice! What’s left of the Utah today is a shell of its former self. The coal trains are gone, and everything is now in the “Orange Borg” G&W paint scheme.

The roaring sounds of the 40's and some f45s bouncing off the walls through the canyon is long gone but atleast not forgotten GOOD video, some great footage of the long gone load out and MARTIN activity 👍, you followed that train all day and showed how busy both railroads were at one time I express EXCELLENT VIDEO

    At least no ads

I do not monetize my channel, I get no revenue from the ads. I was only getting ads on vids where I used copyrighted music, as the holders got the revenue. Lately, I noticed that many of my videos now have ads where they didn't before. I checked, and this is in the EULA, so there's nothing I can do about it. It seems once a video hits a certain threshhold of hits, it gets ads. Sorry if it annoys you, but I guess they have to do something to pay for all those servers they have running. Thanks for your comment.

As always, magnificent US landscapes... at 10:09 pm (22:09) it is in which regions of Utah ? Greetings from Switzerland.

Not sure which time you are referring to. 10:09 is Castle Gate. 22:09 is Soldier Summit. You can Google both for descriptions. I love Switzerland, been there several times. Thanks for watching.

@@fmnut Thank you for your reply. Yes it's that in the United States you put the hours AM or PM, Google translate told me 10:09 PM, that's why I put both. And it is the Summit Soldier that I wanted.
