Chicago's 1893 Exposition and the rise of the City Beautiful Movement.

Chicago exploded with growth after its fire and celebrated its new growth with the Worlds Fair in 1893 called The Columbian exposition. It was a groundbreaking event for many reasons but for one it started the City Beautiful movement. This was a powerful design focus that changed the way cities were laid out.
