I LOVE Port Orleans. I've stayed at many Disneyworld resorts, including the Contemporary and Grand Floridian, but the nighttime atmosphere keeps me going back to the Port.

Chris, thank you so much for chatting with me the other morning when you were in the lobby at this hotel. It really meant a lot to me. Keep doing what you are doing, and keep choosing to find joy in everything you do!! I really love this property. It was the last one my wife and I stayed at, so it has a special place in my heart. This will likely be my home resort for the foreseeable future. The only thing I would add to your review is that French Quarter has a large, easy-to-access guest laundry facility. It was $3.50 for a wash and $3.50 for a dry, all done on the app, and soap for two loads was $1. Perfect if you don't want to pack a huge bag.

Brings back some fond memories. Last time I was there was February of 2000 for my honeymoon. Loved that place and would love to go there again.
Love French Qtr due to size. No matter what room you have, it’s close to everything. And no crowds for park buses, due to resort small size. Last Jan, the big 4 characters showed up in the courtyard area and interacted with guests all morning.
This my favorite resort. After a long day at the parks you don't feel like you're fighting crowds at the resort. The Riverside rooms seem so peaceful to me.
Those Beignets looked amazing!! Super dense compared to Disneyland’s beignets. What a beautiful, quaint resort.

To me the small size is the biggest feature; you can quickly get anywhere, regardless of where your room is. One bus stop--compared to 5 in Riverside. And Beignets.
Love that you're doing this series. We can see how much work you're putting in to give us viewers a window into each resort.
I've only stayed at 2 of the moderate resorts: Caribbean Beach and French Quater. Both were over 10 years ago. While both were lovely French Quarter was my favorite. It was not too large and the property themeing was on point. Nothing on property is too far away. We even walked to Boatwrights for dinner 1 nighr. Beignets are good (but not quite as good as being at Cafe Du Monde 😊!).
The prices at WDW have since gone beyond my budget. As much as I'd like to stay on property, it's difficult to beat an Airbnb that's larger with a full kitchenette located right outside Disney property for less than $100 per night.
Can't wait to see you look at the deluxe resorts. Hope you're getting enough sleep!
Provost your amazing 👏, I'm so glad you're doing this. I went to Disneyland from 1991-2016 straight for 25 years, unfortunately my wife passed in an auto accident 2017 and since than of course I remarried, my wife now is a child hood friend and I'm truly happy but she knows my past of going to Disneyland with my wife and daughter so because I love Disney so much we both want to travel to WDW so we can start our new adventures, I'm 56 and my wife is 55 and you doing this makes it easy for us to start a new adventure, seeing all these hotels gives us on making our decision on where to stay you're so awesome on everything you do, thank you so much.

I’ve been to Disneyworld three times with my family and have stayed at this resort 2 of the three times. We love how quiet it is and the pool area was really fun for our children when they were little.

@@DiznyGrandma Thank you. It's been a while now, but we definitely made sure to capture memories. He especially loved the fireworks, the Matterhorn Bobsleds, and we have a great photo of him with a huge laugh when he first got to ride Gadget's Go Coaster. He loved Cars, but passed away before Cars Land opened. I'm sure he was there in spirit anyway.
I loved hearing the jazz music in the background. I wish you would highlight and comment on the music at each of the resorts. Music for me really helps set the atmosphere for a place. I am enjoying these ideos so much. I missed the first few so I need to go back and catch those. Thank you for doing this!
Chris you’re killing it on these videos. I can’t imagine filming all this and editing it this quick. We stayed at French Quarter for marathon weekend and we loved how small it was. Beignets almost every night and Scat cats is a great vibe. Only downside was the 1 hot tub is small and that’s important post marathon. 😂
This is my favorite resort. Love the look and feel. It’s so much quieter than other resorts. Gotta have more BEIGNETS! Great job Chris! You’re the best!

Also, I’ve never stayed at Grand Floridian, but my stepdad and I eat breakfast there while my wife runs the Disney Marathon. Their sit down breakfast is fantastic. I highly recommend.

We love French Quarter! We stayed there last Easter for our son's 10th birthday and our daughter's 7th. It is a small resort but well themed. Thank you for doing these videos! I'm watching them all now!
Hu Chris, In 2019 we stayed at Port Orleans French Quarter. Our first visit to Magic Kingdom. We absolutely loved staying here. We were blessed to have a bottom room by the river. Right by the boat docks. It was so easy to get to Disney Springs and taking the buses to the parks. The aera is so beautiful and relaxing. We saw a horse carriage go by our room. How cool is that. WE would stay here again if we ever make it to Florida. We also enjoyed the music in the evening along with some beignet's !! Thanks for dong this hotel. It was fun to see it again.
Stayed here in 2010. Kids and adults were all charmed.
The strawberry sauce is my favorite for the beignets. Also POFQ has the cutest pool!

LOVE the themeing of French Quarter! It really feels like quiet streets of a nice neighbourhood just a couple blocks away from bustling downtown. It's small and quaint and quiet and so peaceful! I only stayed there once but it was for a week, and because it's so small you start to recognise other guests and cast members, super friendly. It does all feel kinda old-fashioned, but I'm ok with that!
LOL it's raining, so can't possibly play in the splash play area! You might get wet! That'd be terrible!
Another great tour! It does seem quieter. I like the lush landscape, so beautiful and peaceful.

The chocolate beignet sauce was “chocolate chicory” and chicory is a very different flavor. It’s sometimes added to coffee and if you don’t like coffee (like me) you might not like chicory. This is a fun resort.
So far this is my favorite DW hotel, it looks relaxing and beautiful. I could see myself eating so many beignets. 😃

Beignets! Can't wait to try my first one on our Disney Cruise to celebrate our 25th Anniversary next year. Rock on Chris! U R A-W-E-S-O-M-E!
We stayed here in 2014 and loved it. My girl was 7 and just loved the pool. Looking at the food court menu though it is sad it is more generic compared to back then when they had much more Creole & Cajun foods. They had pizza, burgers, etc. then besides just jambalaya and gumbo they had red beans and rice, fried chicken (really fried chicken- not tenders!), andouille sausage, shrimps and grits, chicory coffee and yes, those beignets!
And what was nice you could get full meals, but also you could get everything ala-carte which was great for breakfast. If you just wanted grits and bacon you could get it, biscuits and gravy, just waffles - anything.
Loved watching you eat the Beignets! They looked so good.
Of all the hotels on Disney, this is the one I would very much like to stay at.

I think POFQ has Coke Freestyle machines for your refillable mugs for your soft drinks. POR has the separate options for drinks as a station. So if you are pool hopping between POR & POFQ, make sure to bring your refillable mug to have something to drink while you have your beignets.

Those beignets! This is the one moderate resort I haven’t stayed at yet.
I stayed at Port Orleans French Quarter with my mom last year. It was such a relaxing resort. The staff was very nice and helpful. My mom rented a scooter. They had it waiting at the concierge , and the cast member helped her learn how to run it. He then walked her to our room so that she was confident using it by the time we got there. They also have a laundry room by the pool, which was very convenient.
Love BEIGNETS!! Love the different sauces! The music in background is nice in the French quarter. What's up with the TRON pinball machine always being broken!...bummer!! Great video. You are Amazing!
