Between Dimash and the musicians, it's the pure height of artistry and skill on this planet as he transcends heaven and earth for us with his music. Barry this is without a doubt the most spine chilling performance from Dimash I’ve ever seen or heard. I feel I’ve been catapulted into the Kazakh landscape and their history. The indigenous instruments sound like howling wolves and wind and his voice is so pure,powerful and soulful. I totally agree with you that it’s pure genius. This is the first time I’ve seen a landscape painting without a single brushstroke. And, Yes, it’s pure MAGIC ❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥✔️✔️✔️💯%
It's one of those instances when he makes his inner self so evident and unprotected. Dimash deserved many epithets - best singer, handsome man, true son and others. There is one more - brave soul.
Purely as a vocalist he is head and shoulders above anyone i have ever heard. I was honored to see him live and honestly, he is simply spine tingling. As soon as he hits the 1st note you have had your moneys worth.

Dimash is probably the only vocalist I know that consistently sounds better live than in studio recordings. The emotions he invests his live performances with are unmatched. Therefore I already told you - please react to his live performances of Battle of Memories. Frankly, the MV doesn't even come close to the different live versions of this song. This performance of Samaltau - simply no words for it. Its emotion and power just grip you at your heart and throat and don't let go.
Melody: %100 agree with your comment about Battle of Memories. I have left a couple of comments under the MV video (on his channel) for asking for a live concert clip of that song to be uploaded to his channel. Still hoping, one day, he will... 🙏
Dimash doesn’t need any stage settings, light shows or dancers to creat a magical atmosphere, to lead into another world. Just him and his music and voice, nothing distracting, is enough. That’s true artistry. I love this version of Samaltau much more the other one. It’s way more intimate and touching.

When I first heard this song (at the inauguration of President Bidon), my blood boiled, I roared, a heart-rending cry spontaneously escaped from my soul. And all this happened because I am one of the surviving descendants of the exterminated Kazakhs from the younger zhuz - I thought.

But through my YOUNG MAN (what I call Dimash) telling the story, performing the song the world knows what happened. And you, your family & your country are stronger as a people. What I generally feel about this song I wrote under the last version and I do not want to repeat it here. But this version is a thousand times more intense. It is impossible for me to listen to this song without getting goose bumps and tears in my eyes. I feel it down to my bones, it is a mixture of so many different, sometimes even contradictory feelings at the same time that it seems impossible to feel them all at once, yet it is so. He is a special soul with a special gift that brings joy to so many people all over the world and unites them.
If you haven’t already you should seriously consider publishing some work. You have a gift with words that are a pure pleasure to read. Yea, Brian. He was not here in this song. At the beginning when the instruments played, it was just his body sitting there. For me it seemed, he was already somewhere. For it does not matter, if he sings english or in his language. I can feel everything he sings. As Barry said: SoS moved me, but this song takes me somewhere. I asked myself after this song: Am i right here, is this really the right place to be? Yes it sounds weird. Hello Barry. Of Brazil. Oh how happy I felt to see that you would react to this video. I really wanted to know your opinion when his interpretation in the studio. This Live Stream took place on May 24, 2020. Day when Dimash turned 26 years old. For me, it was the best interpretation of that song. Samaltau is a traditional song that talks about the First World War in 1916, when a decree from the Russian Empire was issued on the mobilization of the army for rear operations. There was a lot of suffering and pain. The lyrics are about a Kazakh son who cries to leave his parents alone, because he is forced to join the Russian army for war. Samaltau is the name of the place where the man is. Thank you for this moment when I was moved to feel your emotion watching the video. I loved your comments.

Masterpiece. Dimash should have awards up the yin yang. How many performances are just stellar? I hope he doesn't try to please the popular culture....but go with what he loves. I'm down for his taste. Dimash is one of the things in my life that gets me through when I feel so disappointed in humanity. It's something else entirely, I would say "sacred". It's so raw and intimate, even in its perfection, that it almost seems that we're intruding on an ancient ritual. Hey Barry awesome to see you react to the studio version of Samaltau. It is absolutly stunning and breathtakingly beautiful to listen to! Sometimes when I walk through forests (in complete solitude, right before sunrise or sunset) I look around at the surrounding moss twigs 'sometimes little babbling brooks' I put in one of my earbud headphones and have Dimash singing Samaltau in that one ear, while having my own surrounding sounds in the other. That whole 'ritual' makes it feel like he is right there in the forest with me

This Live Stream took place on May 24, 2020. Day when Dimash turned 26 years old. For me, it was the best interpretation of that song.
Samaltau is a traditional song that talks about the First World War in 1916, when a decree from the Russian Empire was issued on the mobilization of the army for rear operations. There was a lot of suffering and pain. The lyrics are about a Kazakh son who cries to leave his parents alone, because he is forced to join the Russian army for war. Samaltau is the name of the place where the man is.

It's something else entirely, I would say "sacred". It's so raw and intimate, even in its perfection, that it almost seems that we're intruding on an ancient ritual. Hey Barry awesome to see you react to the studio version of Samaltau. It is absolutly stunning and breathtakingly beautiful to listen to! Sometimes when I walk through forests (in complete solitude, right before sunrise or sunset) I look around at the surrounding moss twigs 'sometimes little babbling brooks' I put in one of my earbud headphones and have Dimash singing Samaltau in that one ear, while having my own surrounding sounds in the other. That whole 'ritual' makes it feel like he is right there in the forest with me
