I'm not sure when you grew up but we must be from about the same era. I turn 63 next week and I remember my brother who is 4 years older than me buying a 1968 Road Runner in 1975 for $300. Front clip was in gray primer but the rest of the body was the original blue. 383 4-speed. I bought my first car when I was turning 15 in the summer of '76. Was an Aqua color '66 Chevelle 2 dr. hardtop with a 283 and a power glide for $200. I agree with everything you say! And I love it when you call these dumb asses out. Still trying to turn on as many people as I can to your channel. Serious car guy's will agree with you and the younger generation just might learn something.

These are high , but the Chargers are stratospheric. It also costs more to restore a Mopar than a Ford or Chevy. Prolly better to buy one finished. In sunny NC they are still sitting around like this. The 70 mopar is a one off year ,my favorite for all muscle cars.

True story, in the early eighties the town I lived in everyone was into Chevy's including myself I had a 67 Chevelle that was garaged in the winter anyway I bought a 70 Barracuda as a winter beater and some dude who went to my girlfriend's school, his father bought him out of Pennsylvania a mint 69 Road Runner for like $3,500.00, it had a 383, air grabber, buckets ( the car was a bench - column auto, originally) Hurst auto stick one, (remember those!) And the cherry on the cake?, Cragar's!, the car was fucking gorgeous, I knew nothing about them but learned quickly, anyway he was out one night and someone took out the front end I ran into him at a party and he wanted to give me the RR and some cash for my Chevelle we drove to my house in the car and he was gripping the steering wheel hanging on for dear life as the front end was wasted, I declined the trade (even then parts for these cars were hard to come by), but I'll always have a soft spot for them and like you mine has to be an RM23 hardtop!

4 door to 2 doors are looking more affordable these days. If you aren't planning to sell it later I suspect a converted car wouldn't be worth as much but at least you can enjoy the car you want at a reasonable price 😉 thanks Brian I don't see me buying any of these 64 galaxies seems to be a great choice for the money
