Var'jun is one of my earliest wow memories. My first two characters ever were a dwarf and a tauren. I had first played my dwarf a while and they're frequent enemies of the ice trolls in Dun Morogh. Later when I started playing my tauren I ran into Var'jun and I didn't trust him and thought he was up to something. He was the only troll around and I had my eye on that shifty bastard. 12 year old me clearly didn't understand factions yet 😂
Funny story about Var'jun. The first time I ever played WoW I made a tauren. They were the only Horde race I knew about before I started playing. So when I first saw Var'jun I yelled "WHAT THE HELL IS THAT??" because I had never seen a troll before.
My only disappointment was, after finally unlocking flying in Legion, going to the tip of the axe, getting struck by the lightning bolt and NOT dying instantly. Same thing when you do the Shadowlands intro quests and have to rescue Anduin and there are these spikes on a bridge. I tried sitting in one immediately to see if it killed me, but they disappointingly only shaved off about 10% of your HP.
This is a good one. It really layers the pointless noncontent masterfully and yet delivers so much. Enraptured. Also, I learn something new every video. I love the dedication to just opening google during these videos.
I am guilty of sometimes blitzing through content and not drinking in the detail and environment that is truly there to be enjoyed. Your videos always make me smile because they remind me to slow down and actually enjoy the virtual world that I have spent so much time in. Many thanks, Crendor.
the skeletons could be a reference to dorohedoro, where a man with a reptilian head has a human head inside his throat as a plot point, not sure about the roses though
I just noticed that the subject/title of the list is never actually mentioned in the video and somehow it fits very well with the theme of it all being pointless
6:50 OR an adventurous human named Marcus went with a bouquet of roses to court the mythical dino-dragon and did not know they behave like praying mantises afterwards and eat their lovers. The dino-dragon would lift a single fallen rose and smell it before dying of a broken heart (and choking). Read all about it in "A Steamy Romance Novel: Love Finds a Way."
That fountain is burned into my memory by my dumbass tank who had such trouble moving Spellblade Aluriel around it correctly. The statue is actually part of some questing.
Last night a new friend introduced me to a man standing on a floating island in western Nagrond (Outlands) who then after a short dialogue gave me a diamond ring. It was cool, and I've been in the game ages, but never thought to even glance at the islands. Deep Easter egg there!
Woop! You brought up the weird Dinosaur-demon-dragon things. They've been one of my favourite mysteries since Pandaria, together with the WKM room in a large stone pillar Orgrimmar. I don't know if you can glitch your way in there anymore 🤔 Fun fact: There is a giant smiley face painted beneath Karazhan's tower. Top 10 secret/unavailable locations in WoW could be cool!
After seeing that level 1 walk video through Un'Goro with Nixxiom, now I am looking forward to Top 10 "phallic shaped rocks" I can't believe they made my mom into a WoW NPC.. Catty Cathy is literally my mom, they even share the same name ffs
Fun but depressing point, When I was a heroin addict we used to visit another addict to shoot up. She was the definition of crazy cat lady and herself and her house reeked of cat piss, giving her the unfortunate moniker ' Cathy cat piss'. I'm all clean now and haven't seen her for years, wherever she is I hope she's doing better and still looking after stray cats (hopefully in a more hygienic manner)!

The dragons medallion looks like a very very very low res homage to Tulsa Doom's two headed snake banner from Conan the Barbarian. A snake with a head at each end sort of facing each other.
The skeleton with the roses could be a reference to the legend of Saint George, who saved his princess by killing the dragon from whose blood a rose bush sprouted.
The Dragon-human skeleton in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms is part of a larger ongoing secret prophecy tied to the Tower of Azora and the Tower of Ilgalar (Elwynn Forest/Redridge respectively), and I have suspected for a long time it might be a prophecy about Wration and Anduin in the Tavern of the Mists, and whatever the story of Galakrond might end up being. There might also be something tied to Medivh/Netherspite, but that's all very deep metatextual analysis, and it might all just be a crack theory... ...unless !

What's also cool about the Nashal statue is that you get an achievement for climbing all the way to the top, "going up".
