Given MtH is basically a protest band in the same vein as Rage Against the Machine and System of a Down, I think that was more or less what they were going for.
I think this version is a lot clearer of when he's saying "sanka" and "fuanka" instead of "sucker" and "fucker" In the original even though the lyrics technically changes it really sounds like it's "sucker" and "fucker" the whole way through.

Man I was hoping one day you'd cover this. Watched Death Note for the first time at my step-aunt's house when I went out of town and it was the first non-English anime I watched as a kid and when I heard this for the first time I was sucked into the anime music world and it's just wonderful.
