Why is it that when buying the hydroviv filter for the first time they ask for a zip code but not when buying a replacement cartridge. There should hundreds of cartridges if based on my zip code?
You are bending the facts here. You say that the "clearly filter" product only needs to replace the filters every 15 months instead of 6, so it's more cost effective. NOT TRUE if you actually look. Hydroviv cost about $87/filter/6mo and clearly filter costs $400. so they are 2x the cost. This seems misleading, and makes me assume that you were paid by clearly filter to push their product. I will be ignoring your recommendations as I don't feel they can't be trusted,
I am not paid by clearly filtered. Hydroviv is cheaper to maintain but you can't buy OEM filters. Clearly Filtered has more filtration stages. But I guess you aren't wrong either. Overall, Hydroviv is cheaper to maintain if you don't need more filtration. So yes you can go with Hydroviv as well. Thanks for your insights 👍
Here are the discount links I promised:
1️⃣ Hydroviv: bit.ly/3FOM9Gd ($225 off)
2️⃣ Clearly Filtered: bit.ly/3Iq7jfS ($55 off)

They use carbon filter media so they would remove common contaminants from your water no matter your pin code.
Did ya'll test the filtered water your self's or just go by what is written on the documentation?
Yes, I have referred to NSF certifications and independent test reports.
