Hey Alex. I am not your targeted audience but I am a teenage girl whose uncle is a truck driver based in LA. Before watching your videos I never knew much about trucking and after i see how different it is then other transporting jobs. I truly salut you and my uncle. I love watching you and your family❤ Without truckers America will stop moving
Im an 18 year old, graduated high school. I started watching your videos as a time killer like a year or two ago but it got me really interested in the industry. Ive seen trucks flip on highways, have people tell me not to go into this line of work, i see the hardships drivers go through but, it will never turn me away. Here very very soon im starting my first steps to get my class A license. This is a very dangerous job but that will never steer me away. Thank you
I’m not a trucker nor know anyone who is but I love your videos and how positive you are despite any challenges you face. May God keep watching over you & your family ❤
Hey Alex , I’m in the hotshot business myself. I remember my truck kicked me in limp mode in St.Louis. Had to tow it back to Michigan. Got it “ Fixed” with dealer . A month later , again in Wisconsin. Was able it to creep it home . Next day it got a “weight loss “ 😂. Def totally sucks in all trucks
I'm glad your doing all the positive vibes. It's hard when things go wrong and we have to get that positive thinking cap on and keep moving forward. Positive vibes to you👍👍👍👍👍
@alexnino I never really until now appreciate your time and effort into showing us your days. Setting up camera views/angles. Insight at locations. Knowledge about the trucking world and the tricks to the industry.
That happened to me on a peterbilt too wouldn't let me go past 5mph went on limp mode, they had to hook a laptop to the ecu and do a forced regen that fixed the problem but also would be good to replace that filter as well
Man, I am your biggest fan. I watch your videos every single day and even have it set as my alarm clock to wake up and I even subscribed to your channel. I am your biggest supporter my dream when I grow up is literally to be a truck driver, just like you.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
YES, DEF, DPF, and EGR absolutely cripples truck engines. It pretty much suffocates the engine, that’s how you get cleaner emissions. Not because the exhaust is cleaner, but because it limits how much the engine can breathe. They breathe just enough to perform as they should but the moment you get caking and build up happening (and it will happen), it’s all over. It’s hypocritical that we’re all subjected to this but government vehicles from pick up trucks to semis don’t need to meet the same standards.
Alejandro, great videos, bro enjoy them. I relate to them I drive a charter bus down in San Antonio, Texas for one of the universities. I travel to Louisiana and New Mexico at times i’ve had my shares. I’m bringing down on the side of the road 2 o’clock 3 o’clock in the mornin , bus full of kids trying to get back home Mechanic come out does the regeneration with the computer sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t. I’ve had my share of hotels Safe travels keep pumping out the video, sir you have a beautiful family. May God bless you and your familia !! all the way from San Antonio
Hey brother first I wanna say I love your videos and thank you for showing what happens while being a truck driver and I just wanted to also say that a lot of times when things happen like what happened with your truck acting up lot of times that is God protecting you from what is ahead up the road cause anything could happen just like when you’re car got broken into and you wasn’t there when it happened that was God protecting you just like you said it could have been you so yeah that is divine intervention so yeah keep acknowledging God like it says in proverbs 3:5-6 because he is definitely directing your path.
At least you don’t complain as much as my drivers. If their day doesn’t go smooth they complain even though they are still getting paid for just sitting there 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
Hey Alex, I usually never post anything in the comment section bbut that was an awesome video ! Really captivating even if it's a bad situation for you, thanks for sharing that with us
This is why is real drivers put him in his place. But because I am the best and I’m feeling nice I’m letting him slide! But if you wanna see the best then come back to the best lol
Boutta start my first trucking job hauling commodities ca-tx-ok! Watching a lot of your videos on trucking life or even how to drive 13spd makes me feel way more confident! Was trying to get a job driving box truck right there with you but I don’t think Miguel had anything right now but maybe later down the line I’ll work with you brotha !
so it depends on the truck, some trucks regen while driving while others need to be parked and regened, judging by the truck not going over a certain rpm,. i believe it needs to be regened while parked, I had a truck that regened while driving and it was a terrifying experience. the truck throttles up the RPM's to burn that stuff out. that's from my experience though.
I haven’t handed off my title of being the best to anyone so I’m happy you’re able to acknowledge that fact that I am the best, #1 spot! Lol you’re welcome. I’ll been here for 32 years and I’ll be here until the end of time because my videos you can always watch! Love it
The way he did it he cleared everything that’s showing the codes and do a regen on the computer what it will do is heat up the engine till a certain temp so it can clear it
I had the same issue in my freightliner a couple months ago. Wouldn't go out of limp mode and had to have the whole rig towed back. DEF system sucks ass
I know exactly where you picked up those first two loads in this video. I didn’t work for that company but I worked for a different one that was working together and I had to help them with our system. These trucks aren’t meant to stay on the road like the old days. It’s a shame.
I've had the same issue on my peterbilt 586 and it was the oxygen sensor NOX just before the scr. I usually turned it off for a while and then it world run good again for a while but eventually the problem would persist.
its your def sensor nino, and your a little low on coolant. Same thing happened to me in my Kenworth also a Paccar mx13 my truck wouldnt go more than 5 mph. And i tried to regen it but it didnt work. No need to go to the dealer just get the sensor fixed and youll be good.
You’re right on that, why do you think I haven’t posted much here as of late. Haha been too busy being the best. Not to fear though, I’m going to be posting soon!
This would be my issue been truck driver. I’m already program to go work and after go home 😅. Getting stuck with broke down truck would be my nightmare
I wish you could do what they did to mine, a ghost delete, dpf and def is gone, needle is glued to 3/4 full and don’t tell a soul, constantly clean intake filter so it doesn’t roll coal Don’t remove egr tho cuz it’ll defeat the purpose of ghost delete, how it’s done is dpf filter is taken out, hollowed out and reinstalled Edit: we got a paccar, deleting will have lots of benefits, including better fuel economy, jakes will be ever so slightly louder but not too noticeable, 1600 rpm when they get loud
Its called derating and all truckers hate it. Used to work on them for about 6 years and aftertreatment issues are the number one cause of downtime for truckers these days.
typically they are speed or power derates. For FL initial warning will derate to 55 then 20 then 5mph if the warning is ignored enough. With yours doing that apparently suddenly with a near full tank of def I wonder if you didnt get a bad thing of def. Bad def will trigger codes insanely fast due to people trying to just fill the tank with water.
also, for future reference, as your tech said, do not let a roadside tech clear the codes. all codes have a verification procedure to clear themselves. clearing codes just prolongs troubleshooting because all the data logged by the computer is completely lost and cannot be found. this information is crucial to fast, efficient diagnosis to get you guys back on the road as fast as possible.
Haha it's a peterbilt problem they inject way too much def detriot manufacturers made the dd15 emissions systems wayyyyyy better and also the def systems have a cartridge paper filter in he def tank that needs to be replaced every 100k miles 😂 a lot of ppl don't know that

Always check def. Or if you have an old truck you put it in neutral and shift to second and off you go😮😮😂😂
Alex you made my night man 😊
I use to live right but that place in Oakland! It’s crazy to see it in your vlogs. But you’re a trooper for driving around 👏🏼

DEF might not be circulating/ clogged DEF tank happened to me once had full tank of DEF. Couldn’t go faster than 5mph with the same warning

Yeah this is true! That’s why if I ever buy my own tractor I’m buying a 2006 or a 2000 and older.
The way he did it he cleared everything that’s showing the codes and do a regen on the computer what it will do is heat up the engine till a certain temp so it can clear it
