A story about solar-combined farming would be interesting, particularly here in the California Central Valley. Plenty of sun. Load centers not far away. Amazing farm production, but limited by water usage. Shade and wind breaks should help keep moisture in the soil.
Here in New York there is considerable resistance to solar and wind farms from farmers and I'm not sure why. They are concerned about "losing prime farmland", (long-fallow fields and swampland) and the "EM RADIATION and toxic chemicals that leach out of them" which I try to debunk as an EE. But His Highness Donald the Stable genius is convinced that windmills cause cancer and kill whales, not to mention spoiling the view from his golf courses.

I don't mind you covering the current administration at all. That enables us to fight back. No need to apologize. The misguided, misdirected, have no place in Washington. Unfortunately, the numbers are growing, so we need to hang in there, and do what we can. I know a Lightening owner who has been waiting weeks for the dealership to finish the recall. Shameful. My early Model S had a steering bolt concern and Tesla sent a tech out to my garage to change the bolts out, and replace Takata air bags at the same time. The electric company is offering me a $75 rebate and $25 each December based on wall charging allowing them to regulate charge during peak demand. I just wish that the $25 yearly amount could be more. The 2CV? GM is talking seriously about being back the Chevy Bolt as soon as the end of this year, but still no AWD. Regards!
I don't think I was ready to watch this episode, I got teary eyed watching this. I hope we as a country pull our head out of our you know what. Otherwise it was still a great episode just the news itself was sad. Keep up the good work and stay strong, eventually we will figure out HE was a mistake and will fix it.
I’ll pass on the pilotless e-VTOL flights. The tie up of Hyundai and GM on the delivery vehicles does seem like good news as is the increased adoption of electric utility vehicles. The imminent demise of Federal EV rebates is sad but perhaps will stimulate manufacturers into producing more basic lower priced models. We can hope.
Niki, remember to stay hopeful and resilient. I recommend watching the beautiful movie "I'm Still Here," featuring Fernanda Torres. It offers an inspiring perspective on how we can continue to thrive in our lives despite the challenges posed by an authoritarian regime.
An authoritarian regime is one that forces people to buy something they don't want or demands you take a vaccine with no long term studies. Trump is the opposite of authoritarian. Please look up the definition of such words before commenting.
Sending big love Nikki. You are obviously not on top form but I won't assume why. I just hope you get through this down patch and return to your positive energised state soon. Really sad to see Canoo in it's current position. That is an exceptionally good vehicle design and it's a shame no-one could save it. But, I'm sure it will influence design of new vehicles for years to come. On a happier note it's really good to see that some EV companies are still rolling on very nicely despite anti-EV policies in America. I'm also glad to see that the Hydrogen Hype isn't working with Toyota. If an EV reduces it's car prices by 10% the usual trolls gloat like it's the end of the game. I wonder what the "Hydrogen is the future" mob have to say about the new Mirai having to run a 70% discount to try and attract sales. Keep doing what you do guys. I'm sending a metaphorical HUGE middle finger to the Miami legislature. Don't let the bastards grind you down. The louder they are the more scared they are. The revolution is here and they can't stop it.

Elon is not a Nazi, hes awkward and said "I love you guys" then threw his heart out to the crowd... It's not in any way a Nazi salute. I hope you cover Tesla news in the future because honestly they are the greatest cars ever made, and the only cars I would ever buy going forward. Absolutely love my Model Y.
Then how do you feel about making a phone call with your cell phone up against your head and it communicating with the Tower with microwaves this whole time?
Two-wheeler companies are too often aiming at costly models. They need to be near the same price as petrol bikes. Farmers have enough roof space for solar. Though the hazards left on a very large area is left when there is a fire. Metal parrts and many more glass particles that spread for kilometers.
Two wheelers are a worst case scenario for BEV transport. This is because of the relatively large and difficult to address coefficient of drag (CD). A low CD two wheeler looks like a big weird cockroach that is easily broken with none of the up sides of a two wheeler like weight ease of parking and storage. My 2000kg BEV uses the same power to move at 35 MPH as my 160kg motorcycle. My 24kg BEV scooter uses 1/10th the power of either but it travels 1/10th the distance. They are optimised for different domains. There are no easy solutions

On my behalf of all progressive minded citizens here in the USA, I want to personally apologize for all of the collective insanity & chaos that will play out over the next few years. The previous administration started to put us on a firm footing to compete with other countries in a clean energy transition and perhaps even start the US on a path to again innovate on solar, battery and other tech. The current administration seems quite pleased to bring back a "drill, baby, drill" mind-set and I even hear it even wants to bring back the typewriter, VHS tape recorder, and dial up modems...because wasn't that all "Great!" We seem to want to only be known for having the biggest & baddest military on the planet, the most number of incarcerated citizens, and a brutal deportation policy...and sorry about Musk going off the rails. It happens with genius people sometimes. But I remain hopeful and want to look at all this as a brief blip in an otherwise positive future. Thank you for all the news you bring!
I hope you’re all kidding in this? You realize how much censorship, shadow banning, demonetization, de-ranking tactics have happened in the last 4 years? It was the key reason Elon bought twitter and opened it back up again.
What do you expect with all the s***ty news coming from Washington? I've said it before and I'll say it again: sending Adolf III to the white house was a mistake, allowing him there again was inexcusably stupid.
If this is Transport Evolved NEWS, then the appropriate delivery is factual and without emotion. Cable news and other outlets are telling us how to feel about the news rather then telling us the news and letting us decide how to feel about us. TEN, stay strong and carry on...
The fact you’ve allowed yourself to feel and express such misery, is unworthy of your position. The current fascist administration will not be allowed to destroy our humanity. Don’t mope about with head bowed. Fight with head held high. Our future is in danger and this is not the time for you to acquiesce feeling sorry for yourself. We’re this together.
We'll be making a more formal response to this soon - but It's not for one person to tell another how to feel. One of the challenges today is that people are always trying to portray their "best" sides online - and that leads to a dishonest representation of what is actually going on and how people are feeling. While putting one's "best foot forward" is one way through, by hiding how we as a team are feeling, we also risk portraying a downplaying of the sheer danger that our team is in. Let me be explicit: Donald Trump's newest edicts are dangerous for the U.S. and the world. Some of them attack the LGBTQIA+ community specifically, and threaten our safety. There's an increase in hate attacks, there's an increase in state-sponsored discrimination, and there's a real risk things will get worse. By not showing or expressing our feelings on these, we risk signaling to people who aren't in the same boat that 'Everything is OK'. It is NOT okay. The same is true for those in other minorities. Sadly, Humans suck at empathy.

Regards!
Keep up the great work team 👏
Still the best weekly EV news.
Keep in the fight, Nikki. Don't let the current state of all the things get to you. We all need and support you.
I don't think I was ready to watch this episode, I got teary eyed watching this. I hope we as a country pull our head out of our you know what. Otherwise it was still a great episode just the news itself was sad. Keep up the good work and stay strong, eventually we will figure out HE was a mistake and will fix it.
Thanks
The new Skoda is not the cheapest ever, the Cicigo was 2/3 of the new Elroq, but also a much better car.
Cicigo?
@@alsavage1 CITIGOe IV was Skoda's version of VW e-UP
@andders2477 OH, CiTigo, not Cicigo.
TE team - we need to remember: Existance is Resistance. 💗
Hi, I would like a dive into verticle pv farmer research thx
Google agri voltaics
Thank you Nikki and team. You are seen, you are loved
You need to take a holiday or something. It sounds like watching too much MSM is getting to you. Everyone I know that has stopped listening to that cræp is doing much better for it.
Perhaps you don’t quite grasp the situation. Being uninformed right now could be life threatening.
Perhaps I do. I have friends who are in a similar situation but who take a different approach to the news and have diversified their news feed. They are getting their strength back and starting to see that things will not turn out as bad as the media makes out.
Ignorance is unsafe right now. And your comment is somehow very condescending.
Listening to ostriches that stick their heads in the ground doesn't make you safe.
It makes you a fellow ostrich.
I feel for you Nikki and team, this set of presidential acts is undeniably a terrible travesty of authority. I hope you/we find a way forward/around this. Hugs! Please go take a rest in a dark room with loved ones, you need to be securely assured , despite political crap.
I have a strange question about heat pump fuses that only work once then you have to replace them. Are there any alternatives? Strange to have a fuse that cost $300 but only works once then you have to replace it!I know it takes a few surges to flip it but I just wondered if you have any info on that being an energy channel?
Elon is not a Nazi, hes awkward and said "I love you guys" then threw his heart out to the crowd... It's not in any way a Nazi salute. I hope you cover Tesla news in the future because honestly they are the greatest cars ever made, and the only cars I would ever buy going forward. Absolutely love my Model Y.
I'm not sure how I feel about having satellites in space firing microwaves at the planet.
Then how do you feel about making a phone call with your cell phone up against your head and it communicating with the Tower with microwaves this whole time?
Let's do all we can to push things to improve.
E-hugs from New Zealand. I wish you, and yours, the very best for 2025..
Sombre episode today :-(
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I hear your pain, and my heart goes out to you all. Also, this might show my ignorance, but can someone tell me why a human would be illegal in Florida? I must have missed that somewhere. Thanks again for your work, I appreciate you and your teams work.
Presumably some ridiculous anti LGBTQ legislation. I can't keep up with the madness in (parts of) the US.
16:25. I know you like to pronounce foreign names correctly. So: Graz is pronounced 'graats'. th-cam.com/video/wwan-cBCsdo/w-d-xo.html
Your existence is also the hope of mankind.
Yet another good wrap up of the week's EV news. I wish for the entire Transport Evolved team safety, security and excellent physical and mental health. These are challenging times, even for this straight white male.
Gonna be a rough 4 years. Chin up and carry on! Love will win because it must.
As always, great show.
Another great fact filled report! Thanks for sharing the results of all of your research. Here’s to hope for a better future!
Top effort on this episode :)
Thank you.
Are chapters still on the way?
They’re there. We uploaded and tested them last night.
TH-cam appears to have gone in and removed them, and allowed anti trans and anti environmental advertising.
Edit: had to re-enter them. Given our numbers, YT is soft banning us and screwing with our content.
Thanks, they're working
Please take care of yourself, Nikki!
Tesla fan trolls must be celebrating about the Equinox EV recall since it's beating y's arse in many ways, especially price
I am sorry for you guys.....Nicki looks SO depressed...
Only 1466 days left.
Canoo - death by mismanagement.
What do you mean your team is illegal in Miami?
Were illegal. Trans team members can’t safely exist in Miami without fear of being arrested. Florida has made possessing a driving license without your at-birth-sex listed illegal. it’s made using public restrooms illegal
@@transportevolvedbut that happened some time back in 2023, right?
Yes.
Get rid of Trump asap
I feel sick, and more than a little depressed.😟
Considering I'm an older, white, straight guy, I can't imagine how all you beautiful people out there must be feeling right now. Here's hoping there will be a bright future for all of us, even if we have to wait four years to see it. 🌅🏳🌈❤
Is Trump coming for Nikki?? C'mon people, he's simply reinstating freedom.
@@Josh-179 Freedom to hate.
@danielcarroll3358 , yes, freedom to hate is protected by the 1st amendment. But that doesn't mean that person doesn't face social consequences. You're not suggesting Trump or Musk is spreading hate, do you?
Absolutely. Musk is a Nazi.
@@Josh-179 The USA does not even make the top ten of free countries, it merely shouts loudest about it. Don't forget also that lil' donnie has stated it is time to suspend the constitution.
Considering the bad news from Washington, I won't be surprised if this channel suddenly disappears.
Hopefully not. Although they did just send the secret service into a school…
To go after an 11 year old who made an anti trump video.
We need this channel now more than ever. ❤
I hope you’re all kidding in this? You realize how much censorship, shadow banning, demonetization, de-ranking tactics have happened in the last 4 years? It was the key reason Elon bought twitter and opened it back up again.
@ considering that, does anyone wonder why i call him Adolf III?
@mrxmry3264 the worst part of shadow banning and post removal is TH-cam still updates you.
Your voice is too negative; I think this doesn't help in spreading your believe and spirit.
Unfortunately that is hardly surprising due to the threats at so many levels of the new administration.
"You should smile more"
Buddy... The world is burning figuratively and literally, grief and rage are the appropriate response.
What do you expect with all the s***ty news coming from Washington? I've said it before and I'll say it again: sending Adolf III to the white house was a mistake, allowing him there again was inexcusably stupid.
Trump vai a fare in kul0!
If this is Transport Evolved NEWS, then the appropriate delivery is factual and without emotion. Cable news and other outlets are telling us how to feel about the news rather then telling us the news and letting us decide how to feel about us. TEN, stay strong and carry on...
We stand together ❤🫂🌈 these are horrific times, but we have to power through, also thanks for not reporting on n**I content 🙂
Keep up the great work. 🫂 We that are on the same page have to work together.
