Ah, I miss the ol'e sweatshop. Things were interesting back then... pulling molten copper from the foundry wearing sandals, messing with red hot copper bars, breathing all those fumes... life was simple.
A guy unscrews the mold and another guy over his head pours molten copper into the second mold, normally they are masters of their craft, where safety at work is a priority :P
No welding googles no eye protection . Wont take lone he will go blind from his cornia frying or a slag hit is eye ball. I lit a torch one time with out welding goggles and it hurt my eyes . I have it so good I count my blessing with God every day
What a stupid comment .thats a beautiful picture you have painted of your country to the world. you are implying thats all young men do in the USA .ps ,i live in Europe
Men hard at work in primitive conditions. The great thing is they aren't like American Gen X and Gen Z adults. They aren't afraid to get their hands dirty, sweat or mess up their hair. Who says you can't give homeless a job? Oh I'm sorry, if they had a job they would lose their benefits. Proud of you guys.
Most have mineral oil in them but a few will have POE oil basically a liquid plastic and all the refrigerant mixed into the oils Iv sent my fair share to the scrap yard always wondered were they ended up
Those working conditions are just terrible. I cannot imagine working there. They are doing the best they can with what they have to work with. Pitiful.....
It makes sense from a process point of view - the output from this recovery method is going to be about the same level of purity as what comes out of the fire refiner at the end of the smelter, so you can feed it into the same electrolytic refining process that you would use for smelter copper and all the rest of the production flow is the same. And, to be honest, nasty and polluting as the process shown in this video is, it's still going to be cleaner than smelting the copper from ore would be.
Much respect but how do you work sitting on your heels in a puddle of compressor oil? It seems like a table that you could stand at with a drain catching the oil would be better. But hey, you do you.
That's why the earth is dying because of country's that don't have rules about chemicals all there government cares about is how much money they can put in their pocket
It’s amazing to see just how much the owner of the company , cares about the safety of their workers 🖕🏻not even safety glasses for the person operating the touch , no respirator , to protect him from the oils that are inside the compressor, nothing but misery for the workers .
these guys are wearing open toed shoes when working with molten lava copper. thats insanity not having no protection on the feet. one spill and you will never walk again.
Judging by how their work is done, i’m willing to bet they vent the gas into the atmosphere. The oil might get burned off but whatever is left probably goes into the ground.
Как плавильщик цветных сплавов скажу, технология допотопная!!!! Выбросы в атмосферу адовые! Техника безопасности отсутствует как таковая! Ожоги не избежны!

Right
The guy in the pit is looking for an early exit from life.
These behind the scenes look into the star wars universe is kinda wild.
SAFETY LAST!

The oil does not go into the ground but is used for various purposes.
Pretty easy to see there is oil going into the ground, as the guys are cutting the compressor units open on the dirt.
A copper mine. Watch out for your feet, molten metal 😁😁😁
As an American, it is refreshing to see young men actually making useful things instead of robbing liquor stores and smoking crack.
What a stupid comment .thats a beautiful picture you have painted of your country to the world. you are implying thats all young men do in the USA .ps ,i live in Europe
I imagine this is a great help toward resource recovery.
Thanks

From China to Pakistan...copper present.
Stylish safety sandals!! 😂
One world more sustentable ...❤
Excellent video, good quality showing the production sequence. Next time please add a few short descriptor subtitles for each new step in the process.
Noted
Those working conditions are just terrible. I cannot imagine working there. They are doing the best they can with what they have to work with. Pitiful.....
Hard Working Happy Men 👍👍👍👍👍👍
dude pouring the hot copper in sandles😃
How to turn high quality, very pure copper with a specific molecular structure into crude, impure copper. 🙂

Для многих цветных сплавов чистоты достаточно! А так же, можно рафинировать химическим способом!

I am glade to see thet everyone is wearing ther safety sandles
3:45 all those tops they cut off the compressors are sent to the local orphanage for them to use as bowls!
Медь-это деньги!
Yes
Greetings from Viêt Nam ❤❤❤
Big respect
8:30 - The stench. That varnish they use has a horrible smell when its burning like that. Still, this is not far off what I do with compressors.
Sandals and molten metal, what could go wrong? The U S should curb CO2 emissions while this is standard operating procedure elsewhere.
I think I just watched some men pouring molten metal in their sandals, what could possibly go wrong?
Asbestos toes haha.
In what area of the country are these videos taken from? All building a seem similar…
These newer ones are Pakistan. Older ones about 2018 or so were probably china
Cancer town. There has to be some modern day PCB type chemicals in those compressors
It’s mineral oil
Really healthy work environment breathing in smoking compressor oil

Wow very good
The guy is pouring molten metal , wearing only sandals !!!
Getting the job done! Awesome work
Yes! Thank you!
That compressor oil seeping into the ground cant be good
Not at all
It's really being used to fire the furnace,
Compressors are filled with mineral oil it’s inert, you can actually ingest it to use as a stool softener.
When you torch refrigerant it produces phosgene gas, this was used in WW1 as a chemical weapon
Good work
Far from it
Thanks
Die hübschen Sicherheitschuhe gefallen mir wo kann ich die Erwerben oder Bestellen😁🤣
I wonder when any of these guys had a shower/bath?
Poor uneducated people trying their best to provide some food on the table they don’t know what environment is or health risks
He didn't needlessly learn as much nonsense as you.
Where did all the oil and gas go??? R22,,134A,, ect
Judging by how their work is done, i’m willing to bet they vent the gas into the atmosphere. The oil might get burned off but whatever is left probably goes into the ground.

Polyamide laque burned is chemical weapon, breath deep owners 👍
Sandals with osha standard
Where does all the oil go? Sewer?
Я тоже люблю что-нибудь разобрать
Good trade skills though they are dealing with some toxic waste that probably will be detrimental to their health
They would never allow this in America.
Comfort>safety
I wonder how much care was taken recovering the original freon?. Probably none.
They buy them from more developed countries like the US, England, and Germany
Ea-Nasir Signature Copper
Even in the West, not everything should be thrown away.
