Baby lasanga/Marko Purisic is an extraordinary artist and human being. He wrote an album for the popular German band Mono inc.✨ That album won the award for the best metal album. He played for 10 years in the rock band Mantra, also wrote songs and composed. He also wrote songs for the famous Italian band Maneskin. He also wrote a spiritual song, which does not surprise me because he is not ashamed to say that he is a believer. In today's world, publicly acknowledging Jesus as your Lord is not popular. I hope that Netflix or some major TV production will make a movie about him because he is an inspiration for all those who think of giving up on their dreams, those who are tired of trying. I must also mention that he received 50,000€ from the Croatian government for his promotion of Croatia at the Eurovision. However, Marko donated that money to a children's oncology and hematology hospital. Exceptional character and soul of a man! 👑👈🏆
He’s really an inspiration for us all. The only artist I know that resembles Marko’s struggle is Tom MacDonald a self made artist, totally independent who also donated money ( to veterans) We need more people like Marko in the mainstream, young generations need these role models

In Ireland we had to pay 60 eurocent for each vote. I spent 15 euro in total voting for Baby Lasagna. I am very annoyed that our PAYING votes are so insignificant in the end result. I can't see myself wasting that money again in future. Paying voters should not count for less than a clearly deaf, blind and politically motivated jury. Correction, Marko Purišić didn’t form Manntra…. It was Marko Matijević Sekul and Zoltan Lečei.. 🙂 He _Joined_ Manntra, and was a member from 2011 (when the band was formed) to 2016, and then again in 2018 to 2022.

Something needs to change with the whole Jury voting thing in Eurovision. It seems that the Jury is only there to screw over the most popular performance and make it so they don't win. Either adjust the jury vote to less than 50% of the total or hand out a trophy for the Jury Winner, the Televote Winner and the Contest Winner. If the same artist wins all 3 trophies then they are the Triple Crown winner and deserve extra congratulations!

Nemo was a great performer and his song was amazing, as was his performance. But my heart was with Baby Lasagna the first time I heard RTTD, and although I listened to all the semifinal songs and the final trying to have an open heart and mind, as soon as BL played I knew my vote would still go there.

We accept defeat, but we will never accept the fact that some singers at ESC are privileged by gender, sexual orientation, nationality, religion, politics, etc. Baby Lasagna could not win because he is a heterosexual male who comes from a small Balkan country.

The small Balkan country part might be right, but you're way off when it comes to the whole identity thing. The reason Nemo won was simple. Their song is the best constructed in the contest. The rap, the pop, the opera, all sound amazing, not to mention the fact that they have by far the most thoughtful staging this year, command the stage better than most if not all this year and run, jump around, spin around, backbend, etc, all while keeping the performance genuinely studio recording quality. This isn't a case where a generic radio song won the jury like last year, The Code is something special. Main reason it's not as popular is simply because Rim Tim Tagi Dim is more fun and let's face it, because of the politics. Also, another reason why Croatia didn't win:Israel skewering the votes. Running campaigns where they openly advertised to vote for Israel if you support their side in the ongoing conflict. Had they not done that, Baby Lasagna likely would've gotten the few points he needed to beat Nemo.
There is only one “true winner” and this year it was Nemo. It's perfectly ok to have different tastes and to emphasize that Baby Lasagna won the public vote, but the rules are clear: public vote and jury vote together make the total. And that has resulted in Baby Lasagna coming second. I hope he will have a huge success and I hope he will have a long and successful career, but the rules are as they are.
BL - SIMPLY THE BEST 🎉 1. The number of audience points won by BL is the 5th best result in the history of the ESC. So in 2024, Marko - BL won the largest number of audience votes! Nemo was only 5th.. 2. It NEVER happened that the jury gave only 2x12 points to the audience winner! 5:23 3. After the performance in the final, BL jumped to 58% on bookmakers. Nemo was, if I'm not mistaken, 5th with 12%. It NEVER happened that there was such a difference between the votes of the audience and the jury! Because the jury was influenced by some lobbies. It has NEVER happened in the history of the ESC that the 5th beat the 1st in the bookmakers who have as much as 58%! Yes, not to mention that BL beat Nema and won the ESC award for best performer! Need more proof?
Nemo very deseved winner. Only because public tend to love simple upbeat songs doesn‘t mean they are the best. Music taste is extremly different, it is crazy to compare songs to each other and try to rank them. We should just enjoy all these great artists and be happy that they get a lot of attention
I like Nemo and his song, and i even dont mind him winning but if someone finished 5th in the public vote (not even in top 3!) but won because of jury ponits i dont think that that is fair win...
@@parzivalcro914 Yeah we never had this. But if you look at the scores France only got 1 point more and Israels score is very corrupted. So tecnically they got 3. in public. Or 4. when including Netherlands but guess then Croatia would have gotten 2.. Would also like a more spread out jury voting but Nemo deserved these points and with only public voting semi finals we won‘t see many jury friendly songs so a couple will eat all the big points.

Can sign under. Much better would listen to it than to Swiss Nemo which in my opinion is to overloaded. But jury nowadays seeks just vocals complexity and neglects overall performance. Jury are overrated and become too far from most people.

The reason Nemo won was simple. Their song is the best constructed in the contest. The rap, the pop, the opera, all sound amazing, not to mention the fact that they have by far the most thoughtful staging this year, command the stage better than most if not all this year and run, jump around, spin around, backbend, etc, all while keeping the performance genuinely studio recording quality. This isn't a case where a generic radio song won the jury like last year, The Code is something special. Main reason it's not as popular is simply because Rim Tim Tagi Dim is more fun and let's face it, because of the politics.
Also, another reason why Croatia didn't win:Israel skewering the votes. Running campaigns where they openly advertised to vote for Israel if you support their side in the ongoing conflict. Had they not done that, Baby Lasagna likely would've gotten the few points he needed to beat Nemo.

Nemo very deseved winner. Only because public tend to love simple upbeat songs doesn‘t mean they are the best. Music taste is extremly different, it is crazy to compare songs to each other and try to rank them. We should just enjoy all these great artists and be happy that they get a lot of attention

Would also like a more spread out jury voting but Nemo deserved these points and with only public voting semi finals we won‘t see many jury friendly songs so a couple will eat all the big points.
