- Pure gas dynamic lasers usually use a combustion chamber, supersonic expansion nozzle, and CO2, in a mixture with nitrogen or helium, as the laser medium.
Gas dynamic lasers can be pumped by combustion or adiabatic expansion of gas. Any hot and compressed gas with an appropriate vibrational structure could be utilized.
The explosively pumped gas dynamic laser is a version of GDL pumped by expansion of explosion products. Hexanitrobenzene and/or tetranitromethane with metal powder is the preferred explosive. This device could have very high pulsed peak power output suitable for laser weapons.

This is great achievement, indeed! I hope this will turn in to following in future;
1. Compact in size
2. runs on Indian AI chipset
3. better friend or foe identification
4. better range and more targets lock at times
5. anti-jamming tech
I dont think its a great achievement. The system will be only "great" if its as compact as a golf ball and can hit targets in another galaxy.

Please make Sniper identification and location system
1. To find sniper search protected under terrain or bush either by body heat thermal emissions identification.
2. To find sniper by gun bore metal location under cover by terrain or bush in comparison with surrounding material.
3. To find sniper by leg foot impression on terrain sand muddy walk, pressed grass resemblance to foot print, etc.
4. To find sniper at all mountain height with plateau position to lie down and hide with terrain.
5. To find sniper various colour change photo pick up to compare and locate slight change in position.
6. Movement in night by night vision camera.
At all Galwaan valley and similar mountain range snipers supports are provided to ground forces of China where from height and various position Indian troops could be easily made target and far distance could not ascertain from the gun shot hit our troops.

This is certainly a leap into the futre. If this can be develepoed further it maybe used as air defence against missiles and could also be integrated in the 5th or 6th gen fighters .

Laser projects are the priorities...yes orders of 25such system is already underway acc. To the 15 year plan.

It cannot be an alternative but will be a good complement. Lasers only work straight, BMDs work in curvy paths too.
