    Thanks for your insightful overview of our park - we hold a lease 4 lots to the south! You guys are a valuable testament to the purpose and general vibe of the Saguaro Coop moving forward. Be Well with Safe Travels!

    There are so many options for RVers. I owned a lot in the Lakewood NM Escapee park for a while, and now I live in a mobile home aged 55+ community which has an RV parking area with electric and dump station attached to store your RV. I found both places to be very social and a good deal in terms of expenses. I think I like the comfort of having a mobile home and it has a pool and community center with workout space and library, as well as a large meeting room. As it is gated and very safe it is easy to take off and leave for months at a time.

    I visited Feb. 2017, I loved the desert garden area, I did not know about the Casitas until I got there, I walked around the Park 3 times looking and talking to folks. I've now been at SKP Park of the Sierras 5+ years.

    We have not stayed there much, but we like Saguaro a lot! Definitely might put our name on the list.

    Stayed there for a couple of months in 2020. Loved it & thought the people were great along with activities & entertainment. Love the concept but ended up finding a house for my home base.

    I must say that Saguaro RV Co-op is much more reasonable than the place I looked at inf Florida today. They wanted $209,000 for a lot with a casida that looked like every other casida in the place. As I've told people before, I don't want to paint my house purple but I don't want to live anywhere where I can't. Saguaro seem much more reasonable price and restriction wise. Keep the good stuff coming guys.

      According to the video, a lot without a casita is around $17,500 today and a lot with a casita was $28,000 in 2018.

    • @Technomadia

      To be clear - OUR lot was $28k when we got our lease. Each lot is priced differently depending on the costs associated with the structures on it.

    This is a very interesting concept, I am just trying to figure out the benefits vs buying a piece of land to park during the Winter months. Great information. Thank you.

      All depends on how important being amongst community might be to you. For us, we enjoy being around people and having activities and things to do.

      Yes, that makes sense and worth the extra expenses for sure.

    This was a great video about the park - you should consider joining the Marketing Committee 😊

      We considered it... but prefer to unofficially help out and not have to go through committees and rules (or be accused of our content being marketing).

    This is a great idea! I was just down near Benson a few weeks ago to visit Kartchner Caverns SP. I’m going to look into these Co-Ops. It your lease there renewed annually? BTW, that tie dye jacket is beautiful! Would you share where you got it..?

    • @Technomadia

      The lease is a one time purchase and is lifetime. Only ongoing costs, as we covered, are the M&Os, assessments and property tax. I got the jacket in Quartzsite a few years back.

    I didn't quite understand the concept of getting your money back when you give up your lease, so I clicked on the link for the park in the description and the link isn't working. I think there is an "o" in the link that needs to be an "a". I googled the site and found it. Great concept that I'm looking into more. Thanks for the video!

    • @Technomadia

      Thanks.. I corrected the link (www.skpsaguaro.org). And indeed, when you give up your lease and it sells to the next leaseholder you get back what you originally paid, assessment paid for capital improvements to the park and any improvements you documented with the park to your lot.

      @@Technomadia It took a moment to get my brain switched from timeshare thinking to co-op thinking! This is really interesting and we will really examine this. Big changes in our household the next few years as we become empty nesters! Again, thanks for the info and video!

    HI you guys!!! 👏
    I've just been learning about this club and trying to find a website with a list of all the parks in Arizona
    Do I need to become a member first or is there information on what all parks in Arizona I can check out first
    👍

    • @Technomadia

      Their website should have their parks listed on it with out needing to be a member. But to stay at them, many require membership.

    Great video, never knew these kinds of places exist. Can you tell me are there any RV restrictions on age and or type (like truck camper). Also is there a maximum time stay like 9months or anything similar? Again, thanks for the information.

    • @Technomadia

      No restrictions on RV type or age (there is a RVIA sticker requirement apparently), and no stay limits - of course, you'll need to be aware of residency requirements in the state and how they apply to you.

    • @blairM363

    Does having a lease make one to be a resident of the state and pay income taxes for that state? Do they weed out RVs over ten years old?

    • @Technomadia

      No - a lease alone would not make you a resident. But you would need to check AZ rules for residency - there are things like how long you stay there, if you earn an income, take a local job, etc that could make you a resident or need to pay state taxes. And there are no RV age restrictions.

    Are full-time park models permitted? If so what is the maximum size?

    • @Technomadia

      No, the living unit has to be an RV capable of moving. There are some in the park, but they are grandfathered in.

    • @Technomadia

      They do allow short fences.. there's a height limit. Probably not tall enough for a large dog.

    We have one similar setup in Indio, CA it's called Outdoor Resort, it's more expensive, i think a pad is like $50K one time and there is so much more to do, you'll get blasted by so many 5g towers is not even funny, and the food options are great, lots of mexican food.

    • @Technomadia

      There are many commercial parks (park owned by a corporation, not the owners themselves) where you can purchase a lot. The co-op approach is a bit more unique and has other trade-offs.

  • @nomorebsforme

    Naaa cheaper to get private ownership...why should you pay taxes if you dont own it?

    • @Technomadia

      We've not encountered any private ownership options anywhere close to this price range with the amenities offered at a co-op.
