I’m seeing Amaranthe live in concert in just under 3 weeks time when they finally debut in Australia and I have a meet and greet ticket so will be meeting them 😅
This song is straight fire and just gets better with every listen. The album is incredible. I wish more people could discover the greatness. Thanks for sharing.
I love what you said about the opening. The buildup (those keyboards really add a lot) pays off in a way you don't see coming and it's a freaking explosion of sound that I don't think is ever going to diminish no matter how many times I hear it.
I saw Amaranthe, Dragonforce and Infected Rain this past Wednesday evening live at Senter Scene in Oslo, had an amazing time considering it was my first time at a metal concert. Amazing talent
Thanks for the nice review again. The Catalyst is indeed a fantastic album, and I have a new all time favorite song from this album, too, but for me it is Outer Dimensions. Last weekend I saw them 2x live again, and they are so amazing live, even when Elize is sick.
Okay, I'm a gen X'er and well into my 50s. I occasionally stumble across reaction content that exposes me to metal that is new to me. I grew up in the 70s and 80s and my metal and rock comes from these eras. This is one of those bands I've never heard of and glad I've been introduced to them. Love! I'm also a vocalist and I'm really interested in lead male. Who is he???? Seriously, I'm going to have to go back and replay it, but when he came in after the lovely female lead, I swear he was a third ABOVE her in FULL VOICE! Maybe I misheard but the way he's absolutely smashing notes in the low 5th octave without any strain makes me think he might be a metal god. Dude has pipes. I must binge more of their music!!!
The male singer is Nils Molin, also of Dynazty, Swedish gent from Kilafors in Hälsingland... no, I do not know what a Hälsin is, nor which gland they are referring to) And yes, he seems to be quite comfortable throughout the fourth octave...I really haven't tried to find his highest supported head voice 'belt', but his chest belt is so agile and powerful that I really don't worry about it. One day he'll shock me with a C6 and I will drop over. He certainly takes a bit more mass up there than, say, Michael Mills, whose vocals I dearly love.
Hey I'm new to your channel and loving it so far. It seems like 82nd all the way was your first reaction and then you've only stuck with new material. Their first 3 albums is their best stuff I hope to see some reactions or you at least get to listen to It on your own. Enjoy!
I think Olof is the Liberace if the electric guitar! And that is a compliment! Possibly my favourite song too!
