I did the original clay model of the "whale tail" upper and lower rear spoilers back in 1990 at a Coventry based MGA design consultancy for Ford. Many happy memories working on the Cosworth kit for that car and many other projects.

The turbo sounded like it was not running right engine not hot enough or a temperature sensor not functioning properly was causing the loss in pressure u said no boost before I would say that it is not what is causing it

The pipe is horrible, and putting it through the vent. come on that looks rubbish, you can east do that external wastegate pipe down to the side and out the side or into the main exhaust.
Who seriously cuts and cossy vent out on a car like that to put a pipe there. I had mine go out the side near the drivers door and you could not see the pipe. It would open up when you floor it and you can hear the sound. The new owner is right you just have all the shit coming up in front of the screen and it prolly gets all over the glass and makes the glass dirty too.
Just put a full vent back in it so it looks mint and not like some clown hacked away at the vent to get that pipe in

HX35 is a commercial turbo and frankly, they're shit, no matter how you try to look at them. You're looking at 550bhp, realistically, out of one of those, MAX. There are a monumental amount of different variants that won't even get near 500bhp too. For a 2.0 you need a 9cm exhaust housing to even make it respond before 5k rpm. Standard Ford guy saying it makes way more than it does.

I run an hx35 super on my 1.8t Audi and make 540hp? Don’t see why this wouldn’t make 550
