Yes...I thought the same. i liked the idea of using the original rear light and indicators (which i would have thought would have considerably reduced the quite expensive cost of the kit (which i think is overpriced considering you ARE using the original lights) . It just doesn't look right angled up in the air..that and the high price has put me off...shame...
it is unclear from the video how to route cable from back light unit to ECU. The box which holds connectors does not have a slot for a cable to go through

If you flip the tail light, don't you now have a clear light pointing upwards, and no license plate light?

The little cover has a cutout for the wires and it just runs up around the side.
