Having played the game in Italian, it's also extremely interesting to see the original names of the characters, compare them and see how they made them fit. The translators did an excellent job on this game.
For sure. There's some games that have really interesting or funny yet accurate translations for names, like with Pokemon names. In particular, the German names for a lot of Pokemon are quite literal, rather than a play on words that they have in English. I'm curious how that happened with Hollow Knight enemies in Italian.

Love how accurate this is to the actual in game Hunter’s Journal. My only nitpick with this is God Tamer is actually before Pale Lurker, other than that, pretty amazing!
Thank you! I actually don't recall if the adjusted placement of God Tamer was intentional, but I think it was. I made some changes here and there in order to make the video feel more natural (moving the Entombed Husk to be in the Forgotten Crossroad entry with the other Husks, the Brooding Mawlek with the other Mawleks, etc). I assume for the God Tamer because it's the closest thing to a final boss, it felt right at the time

Thank you! The beginning of the Project was actually the first time I started learning to work with Blender, so there's a definite curve of progress throughout.
It's a mistake I made in editing, unfortunately. Adobe After Effects is quite difficult to get 100% right on such a long video, with how clean I wanted the timing on it. I guess I duplicated it and mistook it for the Moss Knight since they begin with the same name.
@@purevessel1071 actually that’s how they are in the original journal! Things like the Mossfly, Entombed Husk and others were intentionally placed with creatures that better resembled them in the original journal!
This is incredible, great work! I love how infection/crystal lights contrast with dark bugs in here, makes it look much more lively and interesting in 3D models
Thanks! That's one of my favourite details in the game, since it's so dark. I'm looking forward to seeing how Silksong enemies look and if they have any similar contrasting traits. The blue liquid they seem to have in some of the trailer shots looked super cool.
Oh my god... Now, when I see all of the bosses and monsters in 3D it gives me huge anxiety.. With all this thickness they look so scary. Like, you really can imagine their true size and you can't do shit if you meet traitor lord in front of you.
I have put together a miniature review-like comment for you to hopefully take something out of. A bit of a major issue, 11:48, Husk Miner, Crystal Husk and Crystal Guardian's texturing, specifically the black lines; the quality is distractingly poor and pixelated. These models would benefit from higher resolution mapping, or the black instead being modelled into the bodies, as if they are grooves in the shells. 17:42 the black stripe closest to the heads of the Hive Soldier and Hive Guardian look like there's a minor texturing bug, looking a little pixelated. The other stripes seem to be flawless though! You've already acknowledged the Moss Charger/Knight name error and Hollow Knight's arm, props to you for responding to those critisms! The models are FANTASTIC. I have a particular liking to how you've modelled fur-like tufts, present in bee and moss enemies and a few others. Not too complicated or overcrowding, and not too rough either. The scenery props are so pleasing too! It didn't seem to be integral to the modelling process but the inclusion of them has made the end product so much more satisfying. The collection of models is a resounding success! I will be eagerly tuning in to the following videos already on your channel, and I can't wait to see your future works as well!
Thank you for pointing out some stuff. The main thing about these is that they aren't actually textured, with UV or anything. I had no idea how to do that at all until a bit after finishing it, so I applied materials to the faces directly for each color, which is super visible in the early Crossroad enemies. As I progressed, it was easier to hide it with more carefully placed lines. If I remade these today, I'd definitely be able to fix them. I'm particularly happy about deciding on the environmental decorations, the models by themselves were so boring to look at if they just sat there. It also helped to remind me of the theme for each area I was going for. If you want to guarantee that you know about whatever I make next, be sure to subscribe and turn on notifications. (This video getting as many views as it did was a literal miracle. TH-cam is pretty bad at getting anything animation related recommended to people)
@@companioncube3208 Not specifically. Nosk turns into what the prey loves, luring people into it's nest by making them think a lost love or friend is in that direction. If it were in Smash, which is super unlikely that it'd be Nosk instead of Hornet, it'd be super weird and that mechanic might not be implemented cause of how specific it is. Would be pretty cool as a trophy or summon though
Is it just me, or does the sigil in the center of the Radiance's halo look a lot like a fist giving the middle finger? Because "Fuck You" seems like a really appropriate symbol for the massive pain that is the Radiance.
Thanks Abbadon arts for your help in the "rating every Hunter's journal entries until Silksong's release" gimmick in the daily Silksong news, I saw this whole video 10 seconds per day and I don't regret it, this video has details in some of the entries that not a lot of people noticed, you made an amazing work with all the models, thanks again for this daily 10 seconds.
@@abaddonarts1129 so, when we got the last Silksong news, a guy named "araura" or something like that started to make daily videos of Silksong news (we haven't got any Silksong news since day one), the people in the comments of those videos started "gimmicks" wich are just kind of daily "challenges" that just consist in doing something daily, "writing all elderbug dialog letter by letter until Silksong's release" or something like that, I myself started "rating every Hunter's journal entries until Silksong's release" wich is pretty self explainatory, and since I can't memorize all the entries order I saw this video every day, if you're interested you can search "daily Silksong news" in TH-cam and click on the comments of any video to see what I'm talking about.

Everyone has to agree, that Nosk animation is worth appreciation
At long last, the journey is complete, and it looks incredible! Very well done, can’t wait to see what you do next. :)
This video really makes me want to play Hollow Knight again
Been following your work. Can't wait!
INCREDIBLY WONDERFUL! What a dedication and attention to the tiniest details~
Наверняка это была сложная и муторная работа. Спасибо автору!

truly amazing.
Really hope there's a hunters mark
Don't worry, there is. (I would've made a separate post but I couldn't figure out an interesting video for it. Plus this just feels right)
@@abaddonarts1129 can't wait to see it
This is now my fav hollow knight video
Amazing job dude
3:42
The Moss Knight is listed as Moss Charger.
I was gonna say the same lol, though the entire rest of the video is really good and the models are amazing, the name being wrong is quite sad
It's a mistake I made in editing, unfortunately. Adobe After Effects is quite difficult to get 100% right on such a long video, with how clean I wanted the timing on it. I guess I duplicated it and mistook it for the Moss Knight since they begin with the same name.
And the thorny husk was listed as thorny shusk. SHUSK?
Also btw some of the creatures weren’t in the right locations. Not complaining though :)
@@purevessel1071 actually that’s how they are in the original journal! Things like the Mossfly, Entombed Husk and others were intentionally placed with creatures that better resembled them in the original journal!
Truly beautiful, I can't find words to describe how amazed I am
9:14 damn that’s awesome
I love how in the final picture the mantis lords look like there jumping off The Hollow Knight and Pure Vessel
Ok ok hear me out. Imagine if there was a pantheon in silksong with every enemy fighting you in a row
With the Delicate Flower
@@abaddonarts1129 Madman...
How about at the exact same time?
you'd think it would look weird but you actually smashed it mate. 10/10
TH-cam is pretty bad at getting anything animation related recommended to people)
You are a mad man for making all this! all of them look amazing, well done and good job!
just realized something.
if nosk was in smash, he can act like ditto. mimicing other fighters
right?
@@companioncube3208 Not specifically. Nosk turns into what the prey loves, luring people into it's nest by making them think a lost love or friend is in that direction. If it were in Smash, which is super unlikely that it'd be Nosk instead of Hornet, it'd be super weird and that mechanic might not be implemented cause of how specific it is.
Would be pretty cool as a trophy or summon though
More people should just stop for a while and stare at that precious cover image
This is god tier✨💥🔥
For the person that did all this,
Congratulations for the bravery of doing Flukemarm
(I know many people want to "do" Flukemarm, I am one of the rare few who succeeded)
Ah yes, My favorite hollow knight enemy, fungified husl.
Quite a few typos made it through in the final version, and it's way too late to fix that.
You can see how his skills get better over time
Is it just me, or does the sigil in the center of the Radiance's halo look a lot like a fist giving the middle finger? Because "Fuck You" seems like a really appropriate symbol for the massive pain that is the Radiance.
The amount of work that went into this must've been insane, amazing job!
omg this is E P I C. How much time did you spend on this?
About a year and a half total, working on and off
@@abaddonarts1129 well congrats i love it
Thanks Abbadon arts for your help in the "rating every Hunter's journal entries until Silksong's release" gimmick in the daily Silksong news, I saw this whole video 10 seconds per day and I don't regret it, this video has details in some of the entries that not a lot of people noticed, you made an amazing work with all the models, thanks again for this daily 10 seconds.
I'm not familiar with what you're referring to, but thanks? I assume someone used my renders for a daily video kind of thing? Sounds cool.
@@Andrelipe57 Oh that's pretty cool! I knew about the channel but didn't realize there was stuff in the comments. I'll definitely take a look.
These are really pretty!
Is there any chance these models could be added to something like a VRChat world? It would be so pretty to be able to walk through these and appreciate them and their scale.
Either way, it's great work :>
I've been considering that, though I don't know how to do it. I'd love to try though.
You can even make the hollow knight world itself and put the mobs at the places they should be
@@Kamoto-Ohiko That's very close to the idea I had, actually. It's going to take a while though, but that'd be fun.
@@abaddonarts1129 for each map you can use a portal section so it wouldn't make the world huge
@@Kamoto-Ohiko I think I'll start looking into that soon. One of the things I've been trying to do is make a custom model for VR Chat, which I think I've done but I can't upload it yet due to account restrictions
I love how the background music for white palace also has saw noice in it lmfao
These are so beautiful. It grabbed my attention when it showed the lifeseeds and the cocoon because of how vibrant it is like in the actual game.
We wouldn't be able to handle 3D Primal Aspids
This is without a doubt my favourite TH-cam video, I love the Nosk animation!
Pure vessel in that pose has me in my feels
Wow. Beautiful work! Truly gorgeous. Well over a year of blood sweat and tears and it shows your attention to detail in every single model. Particularly loved Nosk and the Nailsmiths :)
I love how nosk was animated
This is an absolutely incredible video, it’s so cool and terrifying seeing these enemies in a 3d plane.
Thanks! It was super fun to make, and I can't wait to make another for Silksong
I can really see the improvement! Great job
