Charles Haid I remember him in Hill Street Blues he became a director of Breaking Bad, Criminal Minds ,and Sons of Anarchy ,80 years old this year good movie
Only a half hour in and I'm lovin this movie. Great job so far. Can't wait to see how this turns out.
Good movie! The Line of Duty series is great!
I never knew this series existed. Where was I? Realistic and I guess that's because they're about real life. I resent cops when they are dirty cops, but when they are out there in the dirt and filth of gangsters, drugs, pimps, murderers placing❤❤ their lives on the line I have to stop and thank God they care enough to defend what's right, it's a whole different thing.
Emotions have been keepin humanity at a low state of consciousness.
After the cop was blasted in the telephone booth , James Farentino told the gunman , "Don't do it son" , giving him a chance to surrender , as he was raising his shooter at Farentino .
I don't believe that would have been the response of a Commanding Officer , after one of his men was just murdered in cold blood , seconds before . 😮
Seeing the murderer raise his gun towards Farantino , would have immediately signed the murderer's death warrant , giving him no opportunity to drop his gun .....in my humble opinion. 🤔
it is called instinct-we are trained in such a way it becomes automatic when we encounter a possible deadly force situation!
They used real cops to play some of the parts and as extra in this movies that why they have so much detail about guns and police tactics.
Ok
highly recmmended police film. Great acting throughout and believable without exagerated violence. Great characterisation.
You can't beat 80's cop movies!
Agreed! Thank you for the support!
I thought stories in this series were true stories. The ones I've watched before were based on true happenings.
Merci pour le partage! 👍🐞🦋🌹
Love Dan Lauria. Rhe absolute best.
Thanks for sharing it! I always enjoy watching Great Movies though. 👍👌👏
An of course, I'm a subscriber!
Thanks Again Though.
I'm goin to look who is the director, because even for such a plain production he seems to have been able to make the most in terms of pace and emotion. Of course editor controls pace also.
"What is she goin to do -- those 2 wee lads?"
Amish would have said "What are WE goin to do?"
Good movie and the cast. 🇦🇺
It is shocking that 145 police officers were killed in a year in the line of duty in the US ,from which I insist on their having to get 10 times of usual salary .
It makes me wonder that a policewoman and black one and Tommy's former partner were not killed after criminals had shot them .
Get a life
I, too.
Just one time watching Movie
How you deal with loss depends a lot on how close you really were.
Also staring Rex Linn as a cop right after the shootout.
The best film 👍👌✌️✌️✌️❤️
Nice movie 🎉
Superb!
Holy crap, not only a public coin phone booth, but a ROTARY DIAL?!!?!? wow lol 1:06:42
How do you know what a phone booth and a rotary dial are? You are supposed to think that it was a tardis.
@@SembuaHumpdediddle yes omg… How could I have mistaken those two things
Not bad. Thanks!

Some idiots in this thread should maybe consider putting **Spoiler Alert** if they're gonna talk about things that happen in the movie, in case someone new is checking comments, just to see if it's worth a watch or not.. smh
35 min I thought this would be a mystery or a procedural now it is a drama.
The best 👌😂😂
Who else read comments before watching
I have somethin to be done.
settin upward a buyin.
Is this a Comedy story? Because all Police officers were acting so lightly that I won't blame them, humorous type of in the line of duty police departments story, actually either Script Writer or someone not kneaded it's Well, I think this could be better.
Why is she a cop and she can't handle the work?
Have to love how the filmmakers are required to cover up the cola ads. The cola companies don't want to pay the advertising.
whoever was running things must have been voted out by the stockholders. companies are always happy to pay for advertising.
The situation-escalators
SPOILER: cerveza.
Enjoy these flicks 🎉
Thank you!
'A Cop For The Killing' (1990) Version?
Oui
why actors get the wrinkles removed from around their eyes, beats me! They all end up looking like they have an over active thyroid condition.
The shooting scene at 22 minutes was so juvenile. A cop is shot 4 or 5 times with a shotgun and the other cop tells the shooter not to do it. The producers have to stop hiring their ten-year-olds to write the scripts and direct these movies.
SPOILER: intrusive behavior.
I think the cop in the booth made a great mistake. Obviously the dealers would suspect he is setting them up via the call
i wonder what happened to asian gangs, i dont hear anything about them anymore..as a kid in the 80s and early 90s i used to hear about the havoc their gangs used to cause, it was not uncommon to hear or read about them in the news
That wasn't nice, Maggie had her headlights on.
Not bad.... typical cop show......
It’s very dumb and stupid that they are blaming the cops or accusing them for murder, a cop was killed first by the bad guys. The cops just fired back. And the bad guy that was killed was the one who killed the cop therefore he had a gun. Why is the inspector saying that the guy killed didn’t have a gun? And why the cop who killed the bad guy say he doesn’t know if the bad guy had a gun, they were shooting each other? That’s dumb. I can’t watch this movie farther, so what if he killed one of them. How can this cop not know if the dead bad guy didn’t have a gun. They were shooting each other? Very dumb.
SPOILER ALERT - I realize they were trying to drive home the point that Tommy was caught completely off guard by the fact he thought he was dealing w/some unarmed & inexperienced "surfer kids" for a small dope deal, but REALLY....!! I'm NOT a trained cop, but even I know when someone points a shotgun at you, you DON'T stand there & cover your face w/your hands!! You open the door of the phone booth to kill the light; drop to the floor so you aren't where the bad guy is aiming &/or dive out of the phone booth door, making it harder for him to hit a moving target; &/or draw your weapon to return fire. Even if he'd managed only ONE of those actions, it would've been a better, more realistic defense than covering his face as if that would deflect the bullets!! I DID think Steven Weber was most convincing in his erratic behavior & open resentment after the slaughter of his partner!!
I wouldn't be a cop for all the money in the world!! They have a HARD & DANGEROUS job; they're out there day after day w/the dregs of society, & when something goes wrong, everyone else's word carries more weight than theirs!!
My family had a friend who went from being a state trooper to a BCI investigator. In the years I knew him the job changed him. He spoke of the dredges of society and played Russian Roulette with his service revolver. It’s amazing he didn’t kill anyone
@@susanfontana2018 - I'm sorry; I'm not familiar w/all the terminology. What is a "BO Investigator?"
SPOILER: muchos corredoros.
Wow stupid cops didn't get out of car till 3rd.shot in friend
true and give the shooter a chance to kill another cop i am Syrian but i love USA cops they are in danger every second so u cant give the shooter another chance ever
This whole thing was stupid cop traped himself in phone booth and dumbest place ever for drug bust no back up on black suv
I don't know who wrote this but they Looney
I love Steven webber
The black officer is the one that found the drugs why is everybody else getting all happy cuz like if they found it
tall buildins are of the devil.
Cops seemed to be lost ; their reaction time was way off . Quite amateurish really.
SPOILER: cae el drogisto.
Movie propaganda make out like IA is for findin out officer misconduct. Real life reports show that it has been used regularly to cover upward misconduct.
Too dark😢

Mrs Richards: "I paid for a room with a view !"
Basil: (pointing to the lovely view) "That is Torquay, Madam ."
Mrs Richards: "It's not good enough!"
Basil: "May I ask what you were expecting to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window ? Sydney Opera House, perhaps? the Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically past?..."
Mrs Richards: "Don't be silly! I expect to be able to see the sea!"
Basil: "You can see the sea, it's over there between the land and the sky."
Mrs Richards: "I'm not satisfied. But I shall stay. But I expect a reduction."
Basil: "Why?! Because Krakatoa's not erupting at the moment ?"
Those cops are acting like a bunch of clowns
The real US cops are bigger clowns than them.
Is that Mel Gibson?
If you’re talking about the long haired cop with the mustache no it’s Steven Weber. He ended up playing a comedy series as a plane pilot with his brother they ran a small airport in New England I can’t remember the name of the show probably a few did bit parts. I don’t know whatever happened to him. This is a very old movie. When you see someone wearing faded Levi’s and white sneakers it’s old early-mid 80s. Also notice the cars and phone booths and no cell phones! 😆
@@RannPattersonyou’re thinking of the series “Wings” I think. Tony Shaloub was also in the show.
GOOD IT NEEDED BETTER ACTORS 😌.
Farrentino's Commander role suffers from poor script, poor directing & poor editing. Shame a group of good actors are wasted on a potentially good movie. A Commander wouldn't act as Farentino was directed; was made to be PTSC quivering coward...
terrible film
The stupidest "scripted" police stake out of all time!!!
J'ai pas pu lire sorry
Stupid film, no way would a copper act like that. 2/10
