😭 praying for the grandparents like myself who have very little or no contact. We believe Father that You are restoring relationships with our adult kids for our grandbabies sakes. In Jesus Name amen
Praying for you friend. I've been here off and on and it's heartbreaking. Praying the Lord softens the hearts of your kids, for whatever the reasons, and praying the Lord lifts that veil that's over their eyes, that you're kids understand their kiddos need you in their lives. Kind of a run-on sentence lol, but I'll keep you in my prayers friend. 🙏😔❤
Will keep you in prayer Wretched Radio talked about humility and asking forgiveness opened the heart of your children. Seek God’s heart meditate on Romans 12
I've got a few years yet before I begin this journey of grandparenting, but this was awesome. A lesson that will stick. I had the best grandparents and am blessed to still have one at 91 years young! Her faith has always strengthened mine. Can't wait to read the book!
I wish my kids had grandparents to help raise them. Is adopting grandparents a thing?? :) Who am I kidding, can I adopt a grandparent for myself? I need support in life too☺
I pray that you will find those adopted grandparents! Grandparents can give so much love, kindness, spiritual wisdom, help, laughter, and advice! And your family and yourself will help them as grandparents feel needed, energized and loved!
This was great! I could use input on long-distance grandparenting…we do the best that we can-us living in Michigan and our grandchildren living in Texas, but could always use more wisdom. Thank you
A dear friend had children and grandchildren in other states. She nought large manilla envelopes and every month everyone received an envelop. They were decorated with cut outs from magazines friend saved. Sometimes they would have a theme, like the zoo. Inside she’d have a cd of animal songs or a story book. For a teen she’d cut out fashions (she approved of) and tuck in $5 towards a new pair of shoes. She was so creative and it rubbed off on her friends. Putting a Bible verse on the outside that supported the theme for the inside spoke to even the people at the post office. They weren’t expensive, even a gift certificate (now would be gift card) for an ice cream in summer time was well received. Should do something for adult children and friends, too!
We pray to be our grandchildren’s soft place to land. Loving, laughing, learning along the way whenever possible. They can ask us any question, any time, knowing we will pray with them and for them.
I am a grandma of 6 boys and 1 girl. I try to look for the things that they like. All kids love to eat out. I try to take them out as much as I can. I've made books about them. they really like the books.
I love this so much. I think about what kind of grandparent I want to be when that season comes and these ladies are nailing it. Drive your kids to sport. Jump to when you can pick them up and drive the around. Those moments matter!
It's hard to speak into that problem without some idea of the problems and conflicts of that sort of relationship. I would guess you would lead by example: kids will see your hope and the kids will seek out why you aren't like their unbelieving parents...
Please my friends in Christ , don’t even joke about the parents being “ the enemy “For , in Christ we are ONE! And yes respect that the new positives parents bring into your life!! Christ Jesus is our great foundation!!! Gramma lives Jesus and loves the child’s parents!!
Thank you for your guidance for that guidance Shelly but what about the younger granddaughter that I love so much that I have through some mistakes maybe that I have have made and I have asked Jesus forgiveness and them for forgiveness that I don't get to see as much?
What do you do when your dad gives up on relationships with his kids and grandchildren when your mom passes away? She was a stronger spiritual leader, even though my dad is a Christian. I don't have kids but have 3 sisters with 16 kids. We have to almost beg for the relationships we used to have with him before mom passed. It's exhausting. He prays alot but very little outward effort. She passed 6 yrs ago and it's only a little better. I'm afraid these kids will be completely lost spiritually. I'm still growing spiritually and trying to help guide but it's overwhelming.
Johns strong point is not the podcasts! Jim Daly does the show on his own 90% of the time and John seems confused. He announced the book and thats about all.

For those relationships that need improvement here’s something that helped us: Build bridges, not barriers.

I loved what they said about telling the kids how much I love Jesus and the part about being their cheerleader!
Thank you Heavenly Father for Blessing 🙌 this organization!
Amen Hallelujah ✝️ Hosanna Thank you Shelly for the advice Jesus Christ wants us to to humble ourselves

It's really great to keep sharing and 🙏 long distances.
I wish that they had touched on grandparents whose children are not believers.
I agree

It's unfortunate. You and your sisters will have to step up while praying for him to come around.
Well here is the truth

I disagree. Each one has their place and increase the impact of the show.
@ Tiffany Fett, I agree with you. I have also noticed it too.
Watched, and truly listened for eight minutes. Then, your interruptions caused me to leave.
