If this were a book, I'd never be able to put it down. The characters you have here are so vivid, and there are all these hints at more thoughts happening beneath the words you're saying. There's a lot of depth to be explored here, and I'm happy to take the dive.

You do a great job as the reluctantly fascinated sorcerer; I can practically hear the manipulation vs. the honest enthrallment he feels when he does something to make his captive feel good. Seriously, this might be my favorite of your series, and Hiruko is a tough one to beat!
