    Thanks for this. I ordered one of these (with the Mahogany top) just today. I'm hoping that, since I've long been a solid body electric player, this thinner body will feel more comfortable and similar to what I'm accustomed to. I like a wider than typical guitar neck (1 11/16" at nut) so I hope this wider neck is OK. It certainly sounds nice in your video.

    Hi Joe,
    Nice video, really relaxing !
    Looking for an electro-classical guitar for some of the compositions of my band.
    Never played on a solid body one. I played on a Fender Strat Blackie and a Takamine EN60C
    1- The sound is beautiful. I am wondering if it is natural sound or you mixed it? or any change on pick up?
    2- how does the guitar sound without an amp or interface audio and speakers?
    3- I use Helix and speakers (no more amps), will this guitar and pickup be good with Helix?
    Thanks
    Alain

    • @JoeMoreg
      @JoeMoreg  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello Alain, thank you for your comment!.
      Here is my reply. I hope it helps.
      1 - In some of those clips I did a bit of "mastering" with Cubase, adding more volume with a plug-in from Waves, and a "hard wall" reverb from Cubase. Apart from that, it's just the sound of the guitar with a pretty much flat EQ and some reverb from my old BOSS GT 10.
      2 - I guess you mean the sound when unplugged?. It is loud enough for practice, although I haven't tried to record it like that without a mic.
      3 - I've heard Helix is a great product, so I guess it would be a great combination. If it sounds good with a GT 10, Helix will definitely great. I have to admit I've never tried it though.
      I hope this helps.
      Best regards,
      J

      @@JoeMoreg hi,
      Thanks a lot for your answers. Yes it helped.
      1. Ok, I also add effect on my recordings. So it won't be an issue. Just to get use to a new guitar and develop a great technics as yours... plan for years 😄
      2. You're right I meant unplugged, just some broken English and forgotten word of a French 😉
      If loud enough, that would be fine for me; no plan to record with a mc.
      3. I had a GT a long time ago but broken. I bought the Helix floor, and that's an amazing product. Far from using all possibilities.
      The only problem with this guitar, it is not available before 6, 7 weeks at Thomann... Will delay Santa Clause delivery for me as my daughter disagreed for her presents.
      Hope I could share some videos in the middle of 2023, once I get the guitar and after the maternity leave return of our singer.
      Have a nice day, and can't wait four your other videos.
      Alain

    Great playing - I think I'll get this guitar too. I first on was put away a bit (optically) by the missing sound hole (respectively its imitation), but in fact this isn't important at all for playing

      Thank you for your comment. I am very happy with it. I mainly play it with headphones, but I occasionally play it unplugged for quiet late night practice.The headphones become the sound hole, so to speak, and the lack of it and solid body makes it quieter. Best regards

    Hey, Joe...Merry Christmas! I have question about your sound. Can you share what amp, amp and guitar settings used to get that beautiful sound? Ive watched others demo the guitar, and they are really going for a more treble/reverb tone...no warmth... but your video really captures the only sound that I would want to achieve. Thanks in advance.
    I have a Harley Benton Hybred Steel, and was looking at the Hybred Nylon, but this guitar seriously interests me.

      @JoeMoreg  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey!, Happy Xmas!. Sorry for the delay... I didn't use an amp for this recordings. I only used a Boss GT 10 with a flat EQ and a bit of Reverb. In some of them I may have added some extra "hard wall" reverb in Cubase and a Waves plug-in to make it louder. On the guitar the EQ was something like 80% Volume, 25% Treble and 75% Bass... more or less... I hope this helps and thank you so much for your comment!. Best, J

      Hello Neil, thank you for your comment. I am very happy with this guitar so far. I mainly use it when I teach online and I've also used it in a few recordings. Do you have any idea how quiet this guitar is unamplified (unplugged)?
    The reason why I am asking if to be play at night, but I can only really do that when it it really quiet.
    So of these electric nylon guitars still produce quite some sound, even unplugged.

    • @JoeMoreg
      @JoeMoreg  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JoeMoreg Hey Joe, I don't know how well that will come across a video?
      I mostly play finger style, sometimes strumming.
      I have seen other guitars in the past that basically weren't quiet at all. I mean obviously more quiet than a real acoustic guitar, but still very audible across the room.

    • @JoeMoreg
      @JoeMoreg  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@p_mouse8676 This one isn't super quiet I would say... If I play it late in the evening, I tend to play it very gently. I can definitely be heard across a room. I hope this helps!. @@JoeMoreg Thanks for the reply. Recently acquired the same guitar. I don't have a processor yet. But experimenting with plugins so far has settled on Neural DSP, Archetype Abasi. Preset Crystal Clean with amplifier off and adjusted delay and reverb. Treble and Bass are the same as yours. High frequencies here must be definitely reduced. The TH-U plugin is not bad either. But everywhere it turns out you need to turn off the amplifiers. They are not friends with piezo sensor's. Or I don't know how to set them up yet.
