Great songs will identify with listeners of all generations, that's what makes them so good. This is absolutely one of those songs. Another one is by Marvin Gaye called What's Goin' On. That song has been around since the 70s, it still applies and still sounds great. .... The Dahmer thing ... At Dahmers age, 20s, he's a man and made his own decisions. Those were HIS choices, not his Dads.

I loved pre-Fergie BEP and hated them during. My roommates and I would listen to their Behind the Front (Joints & Jam) album and Digable Planets Reachin’ album while getting ready to go out…yes, late 90’s :)

This song really does mean a lot still today especially in the politics world. I consider myself a social conservative and the amount of animosity I get because of this and the communities I’m in (gaming, anime, etc) is crazy. I show absolutely not hate towards anyone, I just have different opinions and we are all entitled that one. It’s sad honestly.
One thing you have to understand, real change takes time, this son was written by a generation raised by boomers, boomers whom were so dumb at parenting, National Tv had to run commercials at 10, 11am reminding their dumbasses if they knew where their kids were.
