Thinking about a split stay between Riviera via D.V.C. rental and a few nights at The Contemporary (best of both worlds as far as transportation). But having trouble committing to either here or Boulder Ridge at Wilderness Lodge for the split.
You go girl! We took my granddaughter for a week in Nov and there were 3 adults and I thought “another pair of hands would be nice” lol I AM IMPRESSED! We will definitely be staying at a skyline resort next trip as it makes it so much easier with a stroller. We stayed at Sports and ended up doing Minnie vans every day purely for the ease of dealing with the stroller etc. Between you and Bekah I felt we were in great shape, however, I’ll listen about resorts next time 🤷♀️🤦♀️lol Is there anything better than that view in the morning when you wake up?, WOW!

Do you plan to stay at any of the value/moderates at any point in the near future? Part of me feels like these rooms are unattainable for a “normal” family, but I do also know a lot of family’s save everything for a Disney trip so splurging is warranted.
Yes, I definitely plan to do some of that type of content. On this trip it was split between three nights at Riviera (my birthday present instead of things) and the rest at Art of Animation. This type of stay definitely isn’t something we can afford to do all of the time either.
Question for you: Do you rent DVC or do you own DVC points by any chance? After our last trip we made this past week, we are thinking about buying resale because we love disney dvc’s so much. I appreciate all the room tours! Also, love all the tips and tricks you provide. I used tons of them and they were a game changer. Especially the reusable bag in the stroller. We also got loads of compliments on our stroller lights!
Both actually! We own a small resale contract and would love to buy more at some point but until then we rent after we use all of our own. The two big cons to buying resale is the you don’t have the opportunity to stay at Riviera or any of the new resorts they are building in the future and you don’t receive any discounts or special events.
If you buy resale at Riviera, I believe you can only stay at Riviera and if you buy resale at the other resorts, you can't use your points at Riviera or any future DVC resorts built. If you purchase resale, I would say to purchase at one of the many other resorts and just know that Riviera and any future resorts won't be avail to you via points. (I'm a DVC member and we bought direct at Riviera) Hope that gives you some insight.

I took the vista because of being on the skyliner for both of the resorts we stayed at on this trip. The side by side would have required taking the girls out and folding each time we got on.
It all depends on the time of year. I booked our Studio for October in December of the previous year and only preferred view rooms were left at that time.

They are all very similar but not exactly alike.
How far was the elevator from this room. My daughter is 6 months pregnant & know she would be exhausted coming back from the parks!
Our room was a 2-3 minute walk from the elevator.
