@@scaranta m50, a40, a449 cuts the corner at bristol, usually much much faster, and it is dual carriageway too.
Such beautiful country side. To think you can drive to Wales so quickly now. The The Severn Bridge (Welsh: Pont Hafren) and tunnels are amazing.

Seems to be going the long way out of Brum. I would have continued along Bristol St and Bristol Road (A38S) to M5 at Lydiate Ash
J3 would be quicker
Why did you not leave Birmingham by the A38 South and join the M5 at junction 4. Far quicker.
I personally find it much easier to take the M6
I think J3 is the quickest

I know, us Welsh love watching all the English cars going over the bridge too :).
Its now such a long time ago since my wife (british) and I (Dutch) have been able to be back in lovely England and Wales. This makes my heart bleed.

i don't fancy highway drive. I prefer countryside road
