The top board for the other clamp down is for a sacrificial board so there isn't as much blow out. Its also a good idea to use a sliding marking gauge to cut into the face of the board on the side that's out to avoid blowout.
Appreciated comments about mistakes. You didn't use a backer board to help prevent tearout on the back side. Do you not need it if you score the back? Should also mention that the pin adjustment must be made on both sides.
I was thinking about the backer board as well. It is a must if you want to prevent tear out. Another tip is to run your router side to side at the top before you push it in to make the final cut. Once again... it will help to prevent tear out. Good vid!!!
