Thank You, I have the Greenstar Ri and my system fills with a hose after bleeding the radiators it dropped to almost Zero, now its back up to 1.5 and the place is now nice and warm
Watched all 3 of these and this one was the closest to ours. The main difference was that our hose is permanently connected and instead of valves at each end, there is a faucet. It was very stiff, but after wrapping a towel around the handle and turning it, I heard water flowing and the pressure gauge started going up. We now have pressure again. Thanks for this video and hope this comment helps someone! Maybe make a video for those of us with faucets?
My housing association installed our combi, just recently they did a service and the pressure went on it. So I looked at your video, and thank you for it being soo clear and informative. Now I have hot water again xx

Only to discover no hot water later in the day. Followed the video, depressurised the system and I can now do the dishes (maybe I shouldn’t be celebrating that part 🤣)
Our Wooster Bosch combi boiler has a key to refill. Do you have to push the key UP hard in the unlocked position before locking, as water escapes out of the key. The heating is not very good downstairs(I think I touched the radiators, I don't mean heat rising) even with the radiators on full. I do believe that the main reason is pressure as it is only just on one bar(went down after bleeding radiators) but it is a small 3 bed semi. Otherwise the radiators want balancing I guess. Probably best to wait for the boiler man in may.
Thank you for your comment. 1. Push the filling key firmly into the body of the filling link, ensuring the arrow on the key shaft lines up with the open padlock symbol. 2. Turn the filling key to the right, to the stop, so the arrow now lines up with the closed padlock symbol. This bridges the gap between the two sections of the filling loop. 3. Turn the white knob to the left, this will allow water to fill the system. 4. When the pressure, shown on the boiler fascia pressure gauge, reaches between the 1 and 1.5 bar marks (zone A), turn the white knob to the right to close the valve. Do not over tighten. 5. Turn the filling key to the left, to the stop, so that the arrow lines up with the open padlock symbol and pull the key straight down to remove. Please remember to store the key in the bottom panel. Sometimes it is difficult getting the key into position, it can help by applying some washing up liquid on the key as this can make it easier. Hi, I have an older Worcester Bosch 24i RSF. I notice that on the pressure clock the red hand is between 1 and 2 (1.05) But the grey hand is almost right down to zero. Is this a problem? I remember my dad telling me that it had to be higher than that. Cheers. Martin
This was helpful, but my installer has left the hose permanently attached with some black handles in place where in the video you used a screwdriver. Do you *have* to detach the hose after repressurising or can I leave it as it is?
Good morning Kimberly, It should be fine being left as it is. The main reason we advise to disconnect after topping up the pressure is so if one of the valves was to open the boiler pressure wouldn't start to rise without your knowledge. If you are going to leave it connected I would 100% make sure both valves are firmly closed 👍😊 - Aiden
Is method to refill my boiler - however pressure dropping frequently and when I fill up pipe going into boiler starts gurgling so not sure if it's full, or air pocket or what. Needle barely moving from 0. It will then randomly go to 1 bar.
Sorry I have a Worcester and its pressure guage was on zero. The don't have a rigid hose I have two like taps and turned them both a little and released some air and waited for the pressure guage to go to 1.5 like you said and them turned the taps to close the guage has gone a little above 1.5 but not much.....sorry the only thing I forgot to do is switch the power off whilst doing this.....bear with me single mother struggling with boilers and stuff......
