“Don't let this picture fool you, I was DEFINITELY on the naughty list”! Growing up as an all-around troubled kid, Josh reveals the impact an educator can have in altering the trajectory of one’s development. Learn how he faced his difficulties and invested in others to do the same. Josh recently authored a 53 page qualitative study on best practices for creating youth advisory boards for marginalized young people. Josh has presented his findings at the national conference in New Orleans, and the Social Justice Conference at Christopher Newport University. He has published research with the Pell Institute and funding from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. He has served as a consultant for various non-profits, Ed. Tech. companies, and colleges. He is an Educational Public Speaker and has spoken for various school districts, state agencies such as the State Council of Higher Education in Virginia. He has spoken for the WJCC Community Housing Agency to incentivize landlords to provide permanent housing for families who have experienced housing insecurity or rely on public housing assistance.
