Hurricane Beryl Puerto Aventuras, Mexico July 5, 2024 Cat 2, 110mph, Hit Tankah 4

Beryl was not nice gaining force, then weakening then again gaining and luckily for Yucatan it weakened to a Cat 2. Entered Tankah 4 which is just South of Soliman Bay and XelHa around 2-4 am on July 5. July 4th was even calm at night. So calm the neighbors set off fireworks right next to the ocean.
There was some damage, but I have seen worse Cat 2s. Inside PA we were very fortunate that most of it was vegetation. Power was off for less than 72 hours (sometimes although rarely, there are some good things of having a government monopoly).
The weirdest oddities- All our properties remained dry inside!!!!!! And most of the new constructions with tons of exterior glass, did not have the glass break.
