It worked! I didn't install the GApps though. Two things I noticed: First, you need to have the LG drivers installed on your PC to do the oneclickroot. My phone (D802) asked for this when I connected it to my PC and I could directly install the drivers from the plugged in phone. Second, in the end, when you've installed lineage os and you want to restart your phone, the twrp will ask to install some twrp app. The first time I let it install this app, my phone was stuck in the bootloop when I wanted to start it. So I wiped it again and reinstalled the Lineage OS. This time I didn't install the twrp app when asked. I just rebooted the system, and it worked, no more bootloop! Thank you!

Serial port not found, please insert the phone manually into Download mode. Waiting for device.. I tried the trick setting to PTP and back to MTP. Only thing that happend: new explorer window with the internal storage of the G2. But no progress in the adb server that I qiut after e few minutes. Do You have any idea??? If you're coming from official Lineage17.1, do you need to go back to official Lollipop build, root it, and then install 18.1? Or, having followed your instructions to get to Lineage 17.1, can you now just install the zip files for 18.1 and Gapps in TWRP?

Rather, since I had already done them, I simply downloaded 18.1 and the GApps, booted into TWRP recovery, and installed them. Worked!

Inside this file are a lot of zipe files and MD5 files. In your video it looks different. Don't want to start before I am sure I can do it successfully. Thanks!
Hi, I copied the lineageos file to the sd card. (don't know if it's root though) When I try to install the zip file with TWRP, I get the error (Error executing updater binary in zip '/sdcard/lineage...' Do you know why this might be happening? Thanks

@@Sankew Yes. Here's how I solved it. The TWRP inside One Click Root Recovery seemed to be the problem. So I downloaded the new version of TWRP for D802 from www.gregtwallace.com/lg-g2/g2-twrp/?version=3.2.3-0#download-section and replaced the recovery.img from the download with the recovery.img inside the One Click Root Recovery. That solved the problem. Thank you for the tutorial.

My phone restarts and theres a dead android laying on the ground with the following options: reboot system now apply update from external sdcard apply update from cache apply update from adb wipe data/factory reset wipe cache partition i also had to connect the phone with the LG PC suite to get the oneclickrecovery to do anything. if you get that, I guess you haven't flashed the Recovery Properly, the options you are telling is also for the Stock Recovery which you cannot use for the ROM installation
after wiping...your phone must be format...then move to internal storage the os and gapps you download...he didnt explain this correctly that why i move my apps on sd card...lols

I found solution. Try to disable wpa3/wpa2 and switch to wpa/wpa2.
No issues when doing voice calls or doing video calls? I changed ROM cause it becomes black as I going to voice calls or doing video calls.

Go into Download mode: Deconnect Phone from PC, power off the Phone, hold Volume up and connect while holding volume up with PC. Worked for me.
