You should double click select units. There are some tricks with the UI and it is player friendly if you get used to it. Rightclick on the orders bottom left shows you what each order does and the hotkeys. Universal warehouses off does make this a lot different game. More depth. Love it! Btw: the quickstart tutorial and manual have great tips for first turns, like using the cruiser to bombard rebells and use the landers to land troops quickly. Grey planets are rebells with palace / big garrison and white are rebells with no palace and often less garrison. (Manual has that info) Edit: you should spy on ruins and take them later? Not normal.rebels until you trigger them. This is really a ultra beginner blind playthrough. That game has a manual, too.
Thank you so much for introducing this game, hope you play more of it. Will definitely be trying it out. I don't know if you check comments, but have you tried Shadow Empire? Its a newish game that's quite different than this, but the hex combat gives me similar vibes. It's got a really interesting way of simulating logistics and I think you would appreciate it.
My strategy was to get the Stigmata. Their planet is amazing, and as the head of the ministry I was able to colonize the world with my own people, dismantling everything the Stigmata had except the ships. I sent the ships to attack the aliens near the end of my term. Next election, the guy who got the Imperial Fleet was asking where all their ships were - the aliens wiped out the Stigmata fleet with no effort and flew through the system to start wiping out all the ships they came across. The Imperial Fleet did enough damage to them that with the extra production I got from the Stigmata world I was able to build enough of a fleet to protect myself from the aliens while no one else could.
trying to get into this game and your video is a better start point than even the new enhanced tutorial. Had a good laugh when you took your votes out for a walk in the jungle tho!
That playthrough here is unfortunately super beginner blind lets play with lots of errors / missing knowledge of mechanics. But its hard to find something on youtube.
I found your channel via your XCom let's play. This game you are playing here looks like it has a high learning curve. How long did it take you to learn how to play this game?
@@kovi567 There has been better audio on this channel but it was serviceable for me. (But my ears are not that good at comparing sound quality){I may have read the original comment to literally}
I'm just so stoked for a new upload. I really appreciate your content GC! So happy for something new!

Welcome back
there is a min distance for all farms, mines and wells, I think is is 5 tiles away from the closest one.
Exactly. 4 spaces between them. The range of their extraction is 2 tiles though.
Damn yer back! Nice to see.

So..... nobody gonna tell him the audio got fucked and we can't understand anything he says?
Sounds fine for me.
@@nicjobro_4653 Don't lie. He sounds like he is speaking in a plastic cup or something.
