As far as it having too much water, I’m thinking maybe your rice should have been raw and the rice needed the water to cook since their measurements are the same, right? Like 4 cups to 4 cups? But oh my goodness I want to stir that up!! 😂

She never stood a chance for that to come together because the rice is there to absorb the moisture but the water and milk were only in the broccoli (which is also going to give off liquid of its own). It’s a great recipe, but you do have to mix it to get it to come together. It’s a shame, I hope it tasted good, that’s a lot of grocery to have to throw away 🧐

I just made this last week! It was so good. My suggestions would be to cut your chicken and broccoli into smaller pieces. Put everything into one of your "mega bowls" and mix then put into 2 separate casserole dishes and bake. Very filling! Great for a large group of people.
The rice needs to be uncooked. That's why there's so much liquid. It needed to be mixed in your large metal bowl and then dumped into a casserole to bake. It's fun to learn together. Blessings from Texas. 🙏💖🎄

Just observing. When added rice that was cooked and not minute rice you didn’t need that water. I mix the milk with the cans of soups then put over the cooked rice. If I’m using minute rice I will add the water with the soups and milk also. Then the casserole would not have been watery. But I’m sure it was still delicious. I like using a 9x13 pan. You had me talking to my TV watching you. 😂 I love your videos.

Miss Margaret, anytime a recipe is doubled, the cooking time should be longer. I think that a longer cook time would have allowed some of the liquid to cook out. Just a suggestion. The combination of broccoli, rice and cheese is always a winner!

I had to go back and finish the video after everyone said how cute Lil Miss is today. I LOVE her haircut, SO CUTE on her!!! But now that I’ve gone back, I’m watching momma, poor baby has been chewing that same bite for over 3 minutes! I can’t figure out what that’s about, I would have thought that with all the moisture on the bottom to help steam it and the yummy stuff on top of the chicken that it would have been very tender? I hope that after they were done videoing that they drained the liquid out and mixed it all up then put it back in the oven for maybe another 20-30 (maybe a little longer even) then maybe toss a tiny bit of cheese on top, I think she could do that and it would be good. The ingredients are great together, just needed to alter some stuff. But really I just came to say how cute Lil Miss is today! ❤

If you were going to double the casserole you could have used two casserole dishes making one casserole per dish. Bc I would imagine that going to cook over the sides. Maybe use a pan under it while it cooks. Oh goodness it was a soupy mess! Entirely too much liquid. The water wasn’t needed at all in the recipe.

Hi corey and mama. i use the wavy egg noodles no butter or milk or water i only use the 2 cans of cream of chicken soup and fresh broccoli but frozen is ok if that’s what you like. of course i mix some cheese in it too and more cheese on top. it’s a favorite in my family. i used left over turkey in the last one i made. mix all your ingredients in a big bowl first then pour it in your casserole pan. your looks pretty good too
