Great video. I have always loved the RoadRunner lineup and hope to have a RoadRunner one day.

it's like a super premium Jetson, it's really nice. Decent range, great climbing ability, and now respectable performance. The thing is that if the batteries are hot swappable with larger higher voltage versions....... as it is now, I think it's a great combo in a small form factor straight from factory.

To answer your final question, that thing is scary fast at 22mph! I have a very nice e-bike that goes 40mph comfortably. But a scooter - no thanks. lol

Yeah, disconnect the pigtail. It's usually the speed limiter or the start switch bypass

Thank you for this! I'm having a problem with the scooter. I just got it. Assembled it correctly and cannot get it to turn on. I.ve checked every connection I can see.. Took out the battery several times and put it back in. Nothing. Of course, turned the key clockwise. removed the battery key, left it in - Nothing. Do you have any ideas what I am doing wrong?? Thank you! I will do the hack when I can get through this issue, lol

you should have a voltmeter, make sure the battery pins themselves are outputting 42 volts or so, and the battery should produce some voltage, and SEATED well. This is a common problem for a lot of ebikes in general, the pins are not in contact, they may have bent connections or interference, but it's happened to multiple bikes of mine, and may require bending pins for better contact. If this is working, then you move onto the controller, make sure that cable is producing all 42 volts by the time it enters the controller, will have to remove the seat like in this video. If that is working, you will need to inspect the throttle/ignition cable, from what I recall, that is bundled into one cable. If that does work, you have issues with the controller or that cable, I would look to make sure the cable is not disconnected or damaged. Beyond this basic troubleshooting may require cutting/splicing which may be too complicated to explain here.

@@YouTruther Thank you so much!! We took the seat off checked every connection, etc. Cannot get the power to come on. Will look into the voltmeter tomorrow.

@@YouTruther Thank you!!! I tested the battery with a voltmeter and it's putting out 42 volts.

@@YouTruther Problem solved! The wire going to the display was not connected. After cutting the wires bundle material and exposing the connection I reattached it and everything worked. I also did the hack you showed and disconnected the jumper connection. The rear wheel spun at 13.5 mph before doing it and 26mph after. Actually, riding the thing, I went 23 mph! Thanks so much!

They reckon it weighs 30lb, however, one reviewer reckons 46lb !
Why do they always lie about these things ?
