One thing I love about The Chosen is that it's true in spirit. It's a fictionalized version of the gospels, but I say true in spirit because the people Jesus called to follow him were just that - people with personalities, quirks, likes, dislikes, quarrels, jokes, etc. It humanized Christ's followers, and doesn't treat the women like second class citizens.
Your statement couldn't be more true. When I saw the very 1st episode , I knew it was different from all the other shows I grew up with. I was hooked and saw the words of the bible so differently. ALIVE were the words. Thank God , He lives.
The Chosen is deceptive and a false version of the Bible. They make the Lord Jesus Christ out to be a caricature, they do not care if this leads people away from scripture or to it as long as it makes the Mormons $$$$$
Jesus didn’t ever need help preaching His sermon on the Mount, Jesus never sinned as was alluded to in the show when He was a child teaching in the temple. This is disturbing and I pray for y’all’s discernment.

I am so addicted to The Chosen. It is a phenomenal series. The cast is amazing and Johnathan Roumie is extraordinary in the role of Jesus. Superb directing, writing and crew. I highly recommend this series. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
The Chosen also got me back into my Bible. I grew up in church, was saved at 15, even memorized entire books of the Bible for Bible quizzing. I was familiar with all the popular stories of the Bible, but when I read it myself it was dry, distant and I couldn't understand all of it. This always left me confused and defeated. Though I always considered myself saved, I wasn't following Christ as I should throughout my life. Then the "virus" hit several years ago...I almost died. It was right after that I first watched the Chosen. I felt my heart change. I finally saw Jesus as a REAL person not just a distant saviour. He was MY saviour. This led me to rededicate my life to Him. He saved my soul and spared my physical life during the VID. Now, when I read scripture, I can understand it. It's like after watching the Chosen, I can see how all of it fits together. But I also think God took the blinders off my eyes that were there. I don't just understand the gospels but ALL of it. I'm in awe of how He has let me see and understand now. But it's because I watched this show that I was even open to reading my Bible again. It's truly a gift to so many. Thank you, Dallas (and cast) for doing this for uncountable others and bringing the gospel to life for us so we could turn to Jesus. 🙏❤️

You're absolutely right about The Chosen being a movement, Brandon. I realized that early on, and I think part of that goes hand in hand with supporters of the series contributing financially, by prayer, purchasing from the gifts store, spreading the word. The chosen has been an amazing experience to me. I love the round table a lot. Also I love to listen to your programs; you have so much knowledge and a special gift from Hod to teach his word. Thank you!
This is one of the best Brandon Robbins videos I've seen. I can tell you took a turn and discovered a truth the Lord is sharing with all of us. This production (and new studio) is bigger than even those working on The Chosen can digest. I experienced a Christian at my flea market table, I told her about my TH-cam channel I just started a little over a month ago. When I said, "I have an audio bible channel where I read the Bible and use pictures from The Chosen." she was almost irate. She returned with, "That show is hurting people, it is confusing them, making Jesus look like He had to rehearse his sermon and we may understand what is true and what is fiction but unbelievers don't, and adding to the Bible is wrong." It broke my heart. She and those who agree with her are missing out on the humanity of this very relatable show. The Holy Spirit is all over these episodes, and those who can't see that, are just sad. I pray for those in the Body of Christ who are too opinionated to allow God to get a Word in edgewise. Thanks, Brandon, I love your videos, and this one is my favorite!!
You do realize that most of the show (95% according to the director) - is the opinions and interpretation of 3 writers. And others - like yourself - have OPINIONS about that. But yet “we” are suppose to see what you see - or we are sad and opinionated. Welcome to the sad and opinionated club.
@@DelMcAlpine Might you be missing the point perhaps? The point is that people are upset that they are "adding to the Bible", when they are clearly stating it is *not* the Bible. It's much more like a Bible study, being true to the stories as best they can, while imagining what it might have been like. I really cannot understand why people are upset about it, especially if it doesn't go against anything in the Bible, or promoting it? I hope you understand why some might think you're missing out. God bless you. :)
@@Fryx15 Might want to listen to more Dallas Jenkins talks. He has gone from “plausible” which is what “might be” according to the writers….to now saying it might not be “factual”, but it is Truthful with a capital T. Is there a difference in truth and fact? Is he now claiming that he and his writers are writing the truth when in fact it is 95% storytelling - fiction? Which is it? It appears that most Chosen fans are believing even the fiction is truth. So now Mr. Jenkins is going with that as well. I am not missing out - I will finish the series. It is a beautifully written, directed, acted, and filmed production. I am just not as enthused about it as most. Especially when I hear contradictions from the man in charge. One example of that is the attempt at excuses during the little flag talk he had - when he claimed the Chosen was neither a ministry (even though people were donating to his ministry to reach a billion people), or a Christian production (even though it is touted as showing the authentic Jesus). That and more has lessened credibility. Nothing to be upset about - or missing out - just questioning. Something Chosen fans don’t like. And Mr. Jenkins knows that.
@@DelMcAlpine I think it is good to question the series, we have to be discerning. As long as there can be a civil discussion about it. 👍 Maybe he means that even though it is not what factually happened, they have tried to stay truthful to the Word. They try to show what we know to be true, but also put it in a context so that one might understand the meaning even more. Just like the stories Jesus told showed truth without being factually true, so can a show. Like I said, I think it is more of a Bible study than anything else. And as with anything, satan will try to pervert the good things. If people see this show as the Word of God, or Jonathan as the actual Jesus, that is a huge problem, but it is not the fault of the show. Now, is the show perfect? No. But it's a LOT better and inspiring than all other Jesus movies I've seen put together. So it has blessed me and I love discussing details with my brothers and learning even more. ☺️
I’m so glad you were able to go to ChosenCon and see, in person, the real heart of this production. I watch your diving deeper episodes and it adds even more depth and understanding to what The Chosen presents. May the Lord continue to bless you with His wisdom. ❤️🙏🏽❤️
Eternal life is to know Him! For those of us who longed for that past just reading about Him and believing by faith? This has given us a bridge to really know Him.
Thank you, Pastor Robbins! I actually found your channel via The Chosen. I was wondering what you were going to say here, but I knew that you would speak the truth and "give it to us straight". I have been quite encouraged by this video! I personally know someone who started watching The Chosen and she then started to pursue a personal relationship with Christ. Her daughter started watching and it has begun to heal their dysfunctional relationship. Calling it " a movement" is spot on! I grew up in the faith and have been a believer for decades. I know all of the Bible stories and have always studied the Word. I went to Israel with my husband in 2019. However, it wasn't until The Chosen and The Chosen Explained that I decided that I wanted to dig deeper. I planned another trip to Israel and was due to leave in late October 2023 😞 because I felt that the show made things come alive in a way that I had never experienced before. I wanted to know MORE and I felt that my first trip there had only scratched the surface. Now I'm reading books on ancient Israel and paying more attention to the cultural and historical context, and reading Bible studies that are more in-depth (my own personal "movement" of sorts 😄). Furthermore, that feeling of connection with complete strangers is so cool! My husband and I were in Alaska in August and we were touring the Yukon. I wore one of my Chosen T-shirts, not giving it a second thought as the day went on. The bus driver, a young college student, recognized my shirt! I'm sure for some people it's just the recognition of the show, but it opens doors to conversations that you wouldn't otherwise have had and helps Christians find each other. Like I said, it's so cool! I appreciate your channel and watch as often as I can. Have a good week 😊
Wow, just wow! I have no other words to express how I feel about this video! Capturing so much of what is happening in the lives of so many people, this clearly and well-produced - and that in such a short video. That's ... wow! Thank you for all the time you spent on this
Oh Brandon! This is amazing! As I listened to you talk in the video, it was like I heard God speaking through you of how proud He is of what following His calling on one's life. Dallas and Amanda Jenkins and family, and everyone one involved in The Chosen including all TH-cam channels analyzing and diving deeper into scripture with such detail in reaching others. We are all in this amazing family that I can hardly wait to one day worship with you all! I can see God preparing His church! Very well done, Brandon! Thank you Abba for such insight!❤
Hello Pastor Brandon!! Thanks so much for sharing your experiences with the Chosen Con event!! I’m so happy you got to attend and chat with some of the cast!! I watch an episode and with points in the show, I immediately go to the Bible to see what is being brought out in the context of Scripture!! And I’m always looking not to make an idol of a show or character, but to really finding the truth of God’s word as it relates to my life. Thank you also, for your wonderful videos!! I learn so much from your posts!! Much love and blessings to you and your family!!🙏🙏🙏😍😍😍
I was there, and the energy was incredible, especially the last evening. I agree, it is a movement and it is incredible! I saw you a couple of times but was never able to catch up with you. There was so much going on all the time. I was an amazing experience.
The Chosen is a 21st century set of stained glass windows. While the learned read from the Bible and the people listened, they were also stairing at the life of Jesus and the bible through beautiful bright windows illuminated from the light outside during the day and by the light in the churches during the night. This series serves that same purpose.-Illuminating the stories through captivating images. Letting the light behind the images bring that life alive again in the minds of the faithful.
It says in James 3 (ESV)"..the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere.". The Chosen portrayed Jesus just like that, pure, gentle, open to reason, impartial and sincere. He showed his work in "the meekness of wisdom", just as described in the Bible. The best portrayal of Jesus ever, it brings Jesus our Messiah to life. Also the portrayal of the disciples and the other people who encountered Jesus in the Gospels is so believable. They each have their personalities and struggles. It makes their transformation, or not so much, more profound and relatable. Also love watching your channel, Brandon. Well done. Thank you!
Brandon, this may be my favorite video of yours yet. Really well done and such a great message. I'll be sharing this with others who question the validity of The Chosen. Well done, and thank you!
Thank you Brandon for your channel. I'm not ashamed anymore to say The Chosen was the catalyst that drew me closer to knowing the Lord. I'm reading the Word, attending Bible studies in person and online, connecting with other believers, and praying for God to create in me a clean heart. I've always believed but did not know the truth of His promises. It would have been wonderful to go to ChosenCona nd meet so many beautiful people. But I know that you and other fans are my brothers and sisters in Christ. We praise you, Lord! 🙏Blessings!
Am somewhat baffled by the people who are Christian, go to church, do good as the gospel teaches yet are not caught by the the Chosen as one of the best depictions of the gospels that are so relatable. There is an intrinsic spirit of God revealing Himself like no other time in history.
@johntherock3552 because The Bible is enough! I'm more cautious of Christians that don't see the obvious flaws in this show, and some of the dangers that this exposes.
Thank you for this. I appreciate your commentary. My husband and I have led 5 tours to Israel (he is a pastor) and he has reached out in a variety of ways to our local jewish synagogue over the last 15 years.
I grew up in a Christian family(Pentecostal) and have always known God but didn’t have a deep relationship with him. Prior to watching the chosen I was seeking God for myself and I can truly say on today he has shown himself in my life and has transformed me completely; not perfect but forever changed! This show has certainly without a doubt amplified my love for Jesus and scripture. I remember watching the very first episode of the chosen on TH-cam back when there may have been only one episode and they were raising money and I was instantly drawn in bc I’ve never saw anything like it, how Mary’s story was depicted. Since then it’s become such a movement and I pray God continues to bless many lives through this series and that many more to come to know Jesus through this show in Jesus Yeshua’s name, Amen.
First video I have seen from you and it was awesome! As you said it is a movement and one our world needs more now than ever before. I wasn’t able to attend this year but it will be the only one I miss. Thank you for creating this amazing video
This show is a movement. Bring all people closer to God. Reading the Bible has brought to life the characters and the stories. This content has brought me closer to God. Thank you to Dallas and all of the actors.
What I love most about the Chosen is how it dares to show a human Jesus without becoming disrespectful. To a certain degree, it even avoids showing his divinity, for example by not showing the transfiguration (which I see as a sign of respect). His divinity mainly shows in his compassion and willingness to do the Father’s will. This has made me realise that when Jesus calls us to him, he also comes to us and walks with us instead of being distant and aloof. Mercy and grace have a whole new meaning to me now.
Praise God! I ONLY WISH that I was able to attend. It has brought me back to God! Reading His word, DAILY, also taking prayer courses and my son has FULLY SURRENDERED his life over to the will of God! This show might be, "just a show" to some people, but to others, it was JUST THE SPARK someone needed, to turn them back towards the Lord! I know that MY life has been forever chaneed! God bless you, ALL! ❤❤❤❤❤
It took me a very long time to find my Way. I was 65 when I was baptized. Unlike a lot of non-believers, I wasn't bitter or angry about a bad experience with Christianity. I simply have no imagination, and I think you need that to be able to imagine God, eternity, and all the things that come with faith. It was actually a movie, The Shack, that helped me finally find Jesus, and understand who He really was. Since then, I've been steadily learning, and growing in my faith. The Chosen has been a huge benefit for me. Lacking imagination, it was difficult to see the stories of the Bible in my mind. Now, I see all of them. They now make sense to me, so I'm very grateful to this show for giving me a visual reference to move forward in my understanding.
It’s not perfect but you can tell the whole team and actors like Jonathan take their roles very seriously I respect that. I agree with it uniting us Jews, Mormons, Catholics, evangelicals, and even non believers in a world trying to divide us it’s incredible seeing something bringing people of all backgrounds together. I always have appreciated that whenever Dallas talks about the show that he hopes and wants people watching to go to the Word.
The best show EVER the best cast EVER...We need a ChosenCon event in Australia (well in every country actually) I feel the World is in a Spiritual Crisis, that's why this show is so important & necessary...just my opinion ❤
I love The Chosen as it brings the Word to life. Thank you for keeping is up to date on important messages portrayed in the show. I have downloaded your book now but, as I am anold age pensioner of 85 I cannot afford to buy anything. Thank you for bringing the Bible to life as I have loved Jesus since I could walk.
There us a spirit and sense of humanity on this show. Simply love The Chosen, but I give the glory to God for guiding and inspiring the show. God continue to guide each actor and Dallas and all the writers.
I love this video. Parts of it made me want to cry because I have become closer to the Lord and am reading my Bible now, too. Before it just felt so dry to me... I just couldn't connect. The Chosen, like great Biblical fiction will do, put me on the path to a fabulous journey of wanting to know more and more about the TRUTH, and more about the Lord's story and His kingdom. And I love your breakdown of the shows also! I have learned so much from YOU!
It’s a revival of sorts it feels. It is a response to a nation starved to death by Pharisees and charlatans drowning in theology for theology’s sake, and worst of all: idolatry. The one thing I will always have the chosen to thanks for sending me to the Scriptures where the absolute truth is. I love watching the chosen because it brings the scriptures to life. I can see where people would make this an idol, but maybe the people who had oral traditions for years thought that writing was an idol. Hard to say. I will say this though: it’s a good show, but there is no replacement for scripture, and there is only one way to salvation: Jesus Christ.
The Chosen is just unique!! It is truly an inspired production!! It brings people to Christ!! Is it perfect? Of course not… but it does not have to be for our Heavenly Father to use it to bring His Children to Christ. It being imperfect yet so powerful gives me hope that though I am imperfect I too can be useful to God and help others along to Christ.
This is the first time that the focus is on the human part of the mystery of the incarnation (100% humans AND simultaneously 100% divine). Previous presentations all present Jesus as divine. What I find most authentic is the way that people recognize Jesus without knowing him. This is true to my own personal experience.
The Chosen has brought Christ back to the forefront of society. It makes people think about it in a way that is more personal. I agree that is more than a show, it’s a movement. I couldn’t be more happy about it!
The series helps to visualize Luke 41-52. Everyone, including & especially Jesus progressed in their maturity of wisdom, spirituality & even social. None of them started off perfect. God even came & gave Jesus a 2 thumbs up for becoming the son he'd knew him to be. The progress of each personality is outstanding, & I'm blessed to be able to witness a facsimile of the wonders of it all.
I love this, Brandon. Perfectly said!! Your cast interviews, were great!!! Thank you!!! The Chosen, has brought me closer to Jesus, and our Heavenly Father. I'm reading the Bible, with more clarity. Jesus loves us so much, and wants us to have a more intimate relationship with him. He wants us to, ' Stay with Him' , thru our tribulations, as he tells Thomas, in Season 4. (I love that scene)!!! ♥
Although I read the Gospels I thought of them as old or older men from the beginning and they had to be young to work hard as fisherman as well as other careers. The Chosen helped me see the deciles as young men and of course they got older as time went on.

Maybe he means that even though it is not what factually happened, they have tried to stay truthful to the Word.
Thank you Brandon for showing us how awesome ChosenCon was. Sorry I couldn't attend. ❤
I was so pleased to meet you at ChosenCon
What a wonderful wrap up of Chosen Con! Thank you! Looking forward to your book in February!
Great video! Perfect summary of the heart of it all ❤
We learn visually as well as by ear. This show gives our scriptures the visual component.
Great recap of what the show means to so many people.
I totally agree. And I loved meeting you, Brandon. Congrats on your new book!
Wow, just wow! I have no other words to express how I feel about this video! Capturing so much of what is happening in the lives of so many people, this clearly and well-produced - and that in such a short video. That's ... wow!
Thank you for all the time you spent on this
Pastor Brandon, thank you so much for your channel and all you do ❤. Some day I hope to go. I hope to meet you one day as well
Awesome video, thank you. Wish I could have been there.
It's made me see things so differently
I'm just getting Started .......... 🤫
Beautiful video Brandon.
I'm so greatful for The Chosen. My heart is on fire. Hope you understand what I mean by on fire.
The Chosen has brought the Bible to life. So amazing. Awesome show.
I agree 100%, I got to experience this last year. I was actually hoping I would meet you in last year's Chosen Con.
Hello Brandon. Looks lives tons of fun . Wow love all the cast you got to interview.
Well done. This was done so beautifully , so beautifully put! And brought so many tears to my eyes watching it.
That analogy is very apt… at times I worry about praying, and my mind jumping to Roumie as Jesus.
Well done. Thank you!
This is a great video. I agree wholeheartedly with you. Praise the Lord!
Brandon, this may be my favorite video of yours yet. Really well done and such a great message. I'll be sharing this with others who question the validity of The Chosen. Well done, and thank you!
Wow! This was so beautifully done. You really captured the essence.
I so enjoyed meeting you at Chosen Con!
I had tears in my eyes while watching, Brandon. Thank you for your heartfelt perspective.
Great video! I agree with you!
First video I have seen from you and it was awesome! As you said it is a movement and one our world needs more now than ever before. I wasn’t able to attend this year but it will be the only one I miss. Thank you for creating this amazing video
Beautiful ♥️ this series changed me Amen!
Thanks for this video Brandon! I really enjoyed the perspective you showed of chosen con.
Seeing the humanity of the people in the text makes it more impactful
This show has totally changed my Bible story. I have faces and places to relate to. Wonderful experience
Amazing production beloved brother and 🔥🔥🔥 ending 😂😂❤❤❤
It's amazing because that very Word talks about it (The Word, The Gospel truth, Jesus) dividing us.
Great job Bandon!
Love this video Brandon! It is a dream of mine and my sister's to be an extra on The Chosen and/or go to Chosencon.
Great editing and great video, we'll done
Love the show❤
I love this video.
Thank you, Brandon!
Theologians are who Dallas used to get his Scripts right.
Excellent! Thank you! ❤
They should use this trailer music for season 5's trailer!!
ChosenCon was SO AWESOME!
Bravo! It IS a movement. Praying it covers the world!!! Hoping I can get to a Chosen-con one time.
I entirely agree with you Brandon and you are spot on.
It made it real for me, and an emotional link...
I love this ❤
This is the first time that the focus is on the human part of the mystery of the incarnation (100% humans AND simultaneously 100% divine). Previous presentations all present Jesus as divine. What I find most authentic is the way that people recognize Jesus without knowing him. This is true to my own personal experience.
I was there and it was amazing!!
Magnifique ! 🙏🙏🙏
Finally people are waking up.... Thank you
The "chosen" are being called Home.
"My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:"
SOON
Not my will, but rather Your will be done, in Jesus name I pray!
Great video! The show has made the scriptures come alive.
