Love the game, probably the best "in hand game" (played a lot of them). The art is amazing. The first expansion was realy good, played many times. Can't wait to try the second one.
Excellent game ! I love it ! You forgot to rotate the feragot card at 57:40 though since it was the second encounter. But great video ! After 40 sessions with a 14 power deck, I’m now trying a 16 power deck. My ultimate goal is to improve my skill and try what I call the « 19 Stone skulls deck all star » : - the 12 essential cards - the beast’s sanctum - everhue tree - netherlight temple - sutari’s spire - skull island - the stonekeeper You only win with 19 power. Challenge accepted ! Keep up the good work. This game deserves to become famous.
You’re right! I was trying to rush through to the end and missed 1 Power from that FoF 1! I appreciate the support and hope to keep releasing interesting sets! I also like making “hard” deck configurations and go for a perfect score.
Such a fun game with fascinating and simple mechanic. Got it printed and sleeved (now I need a nice case!) but would gladly pay for a retail version too.
Still loving this game, I did a review of it a few months back. Your design is brilliant, so happy to hear it's getting published by the Game Crafter. All the best, Gregg.
Printed the game just yesterday and it’s already one of my favorite PnP’s. Love the randomness of adding 6 random non-core cards every game, really keeps it fresh. Look forward to future expansions (assuming you’re planning on further additions). Also hope the game crafter release goes well for you :)
Thanks for your support! The game just got picked up by a publisher, so it will get an official release in the near future (instead of my self-publish on TGC).
@@GreggKJewell oh damn, that’s nice, congrats! I’ll definitely pick up the physical release to support the project, still playing it in my random offtimes on trainrides and stuff.
Hi! Ive just made a pnp last night and already enjoying your game! Clear and good written rulebook, btw. And great video walkthrough indeed. Wish you financial and kickstarter success! One question, why did you rotated "Vault of Avaris" on 57:10? Its self rotation ability triggers only on top of the deck, isnt it? And using "Deeproot Depths" you may rotate only cards with rotation sign arrow?
Yes, Vault of Avarice’s ability has recently changed. It used to trigger a slightly different effect off moving to the bottom of the deck. Correct, Deeproot Depths can only rotate cards with the Rotation Eligibility arrow. Its wording has slightly changed in the last update for added clarity. And it can now target itself where the older wording didn’t allow that. Those recent changes are posted here: greggjewell.itch.io/galdors-grip/devlog/522419/the-3rd-expansion-knowmadic-has-been-released-v511-changes
I see you’ve mentioned some time last year that you are able to get this published soon, have you had that chance yet? I would love to throw in towards an official version. Let me know 🙏🏻
I just borrowed a copy of this game from a friend and have been really getting into it! I am curious, is there going to be an official production release of the game? I would love to see this come to life with an old school MtG deck box and card stock and a die counter for points you’ve earned!
For example, with the 2/5 value stone card, if i encounter it at 2 value, can i choose this '2' value to moving to bottom, THEN rotate it to 5 value WHEN moving to bottom ?
It got signed by a publisher so won't be releasing on TGC anymore (but can keep up my PnP version on itch.io). I will post more details both here and on my itch.io page as I get them from the publisher.
This is really impressive game design, so many interesting choices from just 18 cards! Also I love the graphic design and the artwork; I’m curious, is this AI generated or commissioned art, or did you find it some other way? Best wishes, and I’m looking forward to downloading and printing this. Just discovered it today by accident.
What a delightful game! It must have been inspired by “Loot the Loop”, right? I loved that, but this is such a great/interesting take. The need to rearrange the cards is fun!
This looks very cool! I currently don't have any way to print anything? is there any chance there will be a way to purchase this in the future? I'd like to do a run thru on my social medias, heralding its genius! And who is the artist? ...pure joy to behold!
This game just got signed by a publisher a few weeks ago, so I am hopeful for a physical release some time next year! You can have the UPS or some printer store print and cut the cards for you (~$10.00 in U.S.).
I must say that for someone who does not speak English, this is all very difficult to understand. For example, 1) what happens if we reveal the fourth stone, but the Galdors Grip card has not yet been found in the deck? Should we find her in the deck to flip? 2) Can we view the deck in our hand at any time?
1) You’d simply rotate Galdor’s Grip card right away once you reveal it. An ability is never active while its card is face down in the deck. 2) Yes, as stated in the video and rules, you can view the deck at anytime!
That’s unfortunate to hear. After I release the 3rd expansion (very soon), I wanted to explore fan-made returned. Perhaps, I can make some alternatives to the FoF first. Edit: I changed the art of the FoF 5 in the latest version.
Video was great to hear each card explained by the creator. I know i saw this game online somewhere when looking up PnP games. Artwork caught my eye, but I didn't act till i saw it again in Board Game Badger's top 10 mini games. Paid for it on Itch and can't to print. Haven't looked over all the cards. Waiting to be surprised but am curious if there is a card that forces you to turn the entire deck over, upside down or shuffle. Or all three. Great stuff. Checking out your other games when I have time.
Why can't you print it? I originally had cards like that that severely disrupted your deck, but I got a lot of feedback from players that gameplay became too frustrating and ruined scoring objectives had worked toward. Now, the upcoming published version does introduce a new element that allows the player to dial difficulty up or down as desired. Stay tuned!
@jewellgr hah missed a word - wait. "Can't WAIT to print." Had a little issue, but I just had to download Adobe Acrobat. I spent a week on each expansion now and was going to eventually type my thoughts on BGG. Difficulty of all cards are great.
This is such a cool game! I’m definitely going to give this a try and thanks for building this game!
I really like the comic book look, the font and the white box.

@@GreggKJewell Please, also release it in Europe!
For example, with the 2/5 value stone card, if i encounter it at 2 value, can i choose this '2' value to moving to bottom, THEN rotate it to 5 value WHEN moving to bottom ?
No, the value you choose must remain on that active side. Otherwise, it's no longer active and not a valid move option.
Very cool. Do you have any ide where to print this in the EU?
Looking forward to the GameCrafter release. Anyway i can get notified or preorder?

This IS AI art for the free PnP version, but will have illustrated art (and a slightly different theme) for the published version.

Just caught wind of this today, looks like a lot of fun, do you have any plans to put it up on Gamecrafter by chance?
Thanks. Yes, fall of this year! Edit: This recently got picked up by a publisher, so I will no longer be releasing it on TGC.
If your second card (card below top card) has a value of 1 on its active side, can you then choose to move only the top card to the bottom?
yes

how should I properly randomize Frenzied Flame
I just slide it down somewhere near the middle part of the deck.

My boy is afraid of the 5 point card with Cthulhu-style huge eye, which makes him unable to enjoy the amazing game.
