Iam interested to hear this interview in my mother tounge (malayalam). Now Iam in 72 . I was a youth in the time of emergency. At that time I strongly supported the emergency. And now itself also Iam supporting it as strong as in the past. Because I believe that our country now exists even now only because of her diclaration of emergency. Lok manya Jayaprakash Narayan declaredd our military, to "not obey the orders of the chief or government". Railway minister Mr. L.N. Misra was asasinated in a bomb blast, before emergency. All our opposition leaders try to mis lead our nation,so as to destroy our country. I have very much more to write . But Iam stopping,beause of my health. But one thing , our country should remain strong and democratic and secular in the place of head in an important potion of a living creature in the whole world. JAI HIND.

Being condemned to antipodean shores for research now for some time, I still can't shirk the sense of Indianness that I feel obliged to carry. But what does one do when the distance is not only spatial but temporal as well? She, the mother of all civilizations, and her values, are being scragged on a quotidian basis. What is even sadder is that so many people are celebrating those who are doing it. Seeing Mrs Gandhi articulate her ideas about India's vision and values, I felt a lump in my throat. One of the greatest leaders of modern times. Her ony major mistake was attack our temple when she had several other options. Only today Mr. Putin comes close to her in effectiveness. She fragmented Pakistan and China (China had been boasting as usual) ran out of fear rather than help its beloved Pakistan and the USA was puzzled. She brought Siachen, Sikkim, parts of POK back to Bharat. She had an advanced nuclear weapon blasted in 1974. She had the missile production initiated. She was a true believer in democracy and when she lost the election she stepped down. In the end what a class and personality few on our planet.
