Album of the decade for me, being released at the very end of it. It just sums up everything I learned to love about metal music in the last 10 years. I discovered Thornhill in spring last year and the Butterfly EP became my musical bible in terms of groove, ambience, harmony and melody. That they've outdone themselves with this album is unbelievable.

I love how they just bounce off each other throughout this song. Just damn good playing and structure.

I love that rhythm section of the chorus. It's so niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice. It's like a simple little power chord you learn when you're playing the guitar for the first time, but used here its so masterful in carrying the song's emotional sections.
2:18 onwards ❤💚💛❤💚💛🤘🤘 so many underlying tones and sections I didn't even know about before I listened to this playthrough! God damn riff gods
Brilliant talent here on this Nurture masterpiece. Surely if directors for Marvel, DC or John Wick heard Nurture they'd mix it with a major battle scene. Looking forward to whats next..

These guys are are so underrated, everything about The Dark Pool is perfect, and they're all such incredible musicians. There' so much depth to the music I feel like everytime I listen to it I hear something new, and I've been listening through the whole album 3-5 times a week for the past 4 months. I know it's only been a year since TDP was released but my body craves more music from them
Everything they make is unfuckingreal. The way it blends, the melodies,the timing. It may not be much super new to the music world but damn if its not some of the best put together music ive heard.

Ever since I first heard this song on my northlane radio I started to listen to this song atleast 5 times a day
What I love about these two, is that because the rhythm guitarist doesn’t really have a need to go as high on the guitar as the lead, he plays with a six string. It’s really unique, and shows that a band doesn’t need the same number of strings for every guitarist
Edit: changed "creative" to "unique"
It’s a baritone 6 with thickness on the strings similar to a 7. He’s essentially playing a 7 on a 6 string.

How is it 'really creative' to not use one of the string and therefore not have it on the guitar? Does that make every bass guitarist 'really creative'? The lead doesn't even touch the highest string in this song so he might as well also have picked up a 6-string.
