I'm currently living in a hotel a year ago I sat on my couch after work watching these videos wondering how do you let your rent go sooooo much to the point you get evicted ....well a year later after almost dying I was hospitalized for quite sometime fell behind on bills and my rent ....my landlord wasn't understanding ....it was my first time and it was only a month I provided all documentation and told him I'd absolutely catch it up he just wasn't having it so I lost my home ....I have humbled myself cause you never know what curve balls life can throw at you ....you never know that helpless feeling watching your belongings outside for the public to pick at ....it's embarrassing it's humiliating and you feel helpless ....please don't be so quick to judge others out here cause some of us really try and unfortunately fall behind
I dont understand how it is legally possible they put people stuff on the street, in Germany and Austria, if you landlords evicts you he has to provide a place for your stuff, he has to transport and pay for the storage. If he touches your stuff, he is responsible for it, period.

I am living in my van. At the age of 58, I was unable to get hired in my field where I had worked for 35 years (medical industry). I lost my home of 20 years with $840 mortgage payment in California. I am probably going to die o the streets.

@@chrissttiiee I make too much for subsidies (1,800/mo). I am going to rent a room or get motel room. The management companies state that you must make 3 x the rent. Bad renters are destroying the possibility for negotiation and compromise. At this point, I am lucky to have a running car. Thank you for your prayers, Christie.

I don’t judge because this is possible for anyone. Most people are one paycheck away from being homeless.
After watching so many of these, I am wondering what percentage of Americans do not have an actual bed set, with the mattress and box spring (if present) sitting directly on the floor. How many families have no dressers with drawers.
I grew up with 5 siblings and the boys slept on bunk beds. We had a closet to hang clothes and dressers. There was not much money but nothing was on the floor but a rug.
My bed is a full set so it doesn’t sit on the floor but I don’t have dressers cause I have a closet. I may get a dresser later down the road to actually put in my closet tho
Live w 5 ppl in a 3 bed 1 b and my mom sleeps in the living room.
Most beds today, don't need box springs. I found that out several years ago. I have one Swiss bed that just doesn't need any box springs. Wood springs are built right into the bed.
now a days u have to do what u have to do as long as u have a bed to sleep in everybody can’t afford the whole bed set
Just nasty....my grandma always told us just becuz u don't have much ..but what Lil u have keep it clean and appreciate it ..GOD IS WATCHING ..BE GRATEFUL...I HAD I LIL 2 BEDROOM SMALL HOUSE WITH 4 KIDS... PPL COULDN'T BELIEVE HOW WELL I KEPT IT AND DECORATED TO MAKE IT A HOME

I bet they have food stamps and housing and maybe pay $40 a month rent. They got that money Biden was giving per child which was a lot. I bet they have healthcare and I have to work hard to get the same things. It's a mindset and if they don't want to change then even God can do very little to help. If everyone raised their kids better than the way they were raised then society would actually get better with time and not worse.
Hopefully they won’t become the “lowest type of adults in society “.. That’s why it’s important to speak and also teach these kids they don’t have to become a product of their environment. Who knows what the situation with the parents/parent could be.. loss of a job/mental illness/ depression/ laziness..Who knows? So I can’t or won’t judge if I don’t know them personally. Some people out here are really going through a lot these days.
You’re being extremely judgmental and leave the children’s future out of your mouth! That comment was completely uncalled for. Since common sense is lacking let me explain a little something to you since I have time. Nobody in their right mind would ever want to live in those type of conditions. Have you ever considered mental illness? Drug use Due to trauma? Or severe depression? Any three of those could be a possibility in these type of situation. Be less judge mental or more open minded. Not everybody has a perfect life.
I promise you parenting isn’t the main culprit in the way society is shaped today. There are multiple individuals who were raised to the best of their parents ability and STILL chose to be bad people themselves, that’s just sometimes how things pan out. You shouldn’t judge so much, you don’t even know what your own future holds. Just feel sorry for the children and move on, don’t go bashing their future and spewing ignorance.
Let’s pray they don’t indeed become “the lowest of society.” Their innocent children with their whole lives ahead of them. I hope if you ever find yourself in a less than favorable situation someone won’t judge you or your family in the way you just displayed.

Take the kids and throw everything and everybody else OUT. No child should ever suffer because of an adult's irresponsibility. Couldn't even change the battery in the smoke alarm to make sure they'd be safe.

This walk through is not legal. It seems like the home owner did a walk through with the person know so he can say that's how they left the house. The living conditions is nasty but they still have to wait until they finally leave the property indefinitely.
